WFP needs USD 233 million to sustain its response across Syria over the next six months Ongoing FAO activities in Syria include rebuilding and repairing irrigation canals and water distribution points, crop and vegetable seed distributions, capacity building, animal health campaigns, and others FAO has a funding gap of USD 115 million to reach 2 million people 1

2 Yemen Hodeidah Crisis and Security situation volatile and deteriorating Significant impacts on humanitarian infrastructure and operations in Hodeidah 427,000 IDPs from Hodeidah registered since early June 408,000 IDPs from Hodeidah assisted by WFP since early June, and 223,000 people in Hodeidah assisted by WFP in September 6.7 million people assisted by WFP in August across Yemen WFP s 2018 requirement is USD 1.2 billion, of which USD 853 million has been mobilized. WFP and FAO co-lead the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster Ongoing FAO activities are reaching approximately 5.8 million people FAO has this year requested USD 57.1 million, of which USD 37.6 million have been mobilized. 2

4 ON WATCH Cameroon: Conflict in the Anglophone Regions Since June 2018, Anglophone separatists have expanded from the North-West Region to the South-West Region 246,000 people are currently displaced in South-West Region and more than 60,000 in the North-West Region. Food security needs are growing and humanitarian access is difficult WFP stands ready to commence an initial response targeting 50,000 IDPs for 3 months at a cost of USD 2 million Plans for a further scale-up targeting 150,000 IDPs for 4 months at a cost of USD 11.6 million are in place The response is currently on hold, as WFP cannot guarantee the safe passage of humanitarian food convoys
