1 7 th January 2018 Activities On 7 January 2018, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane, Lao PDR has organized the meeting and a solidarity dinner for Cambodian people, students and Laos friends to celebrate the 39 th Anniversary of January 7 which is the second birthday for Cambodian people. We will always remember 7 January that has helped Cambodia country to enjoy fully peace and development until the present.

2 Mid-January 2018 Activities On January 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR sent off and received H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane who led the Laos high delegation to attend the Second Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Leaders Meeting held in Phnom Penh.

3 From 13 to 17 January 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia has the honor to accompany Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Cambodia and high delegation to pay an official visit to the Lao PDR. During this visit, Samdech Pichey Sena Deputy Prime Minister has hold bilateral meeting with Lt. Gen. Chansamone Chanyalath, Minister of National Defense of Lao PDR and paid courtesy on H.E. Mr. Bounnhang Vorachith, President of the Lao PDR. Samdech Pichey Sena also allows the Cambodian students studying in the Lao PDR to pay a courtesy calls on him.

4 From 16 to 18 January 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia has the great honor to accompany Samdech Krolahom SAR Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of Cambodia and high delegation to pay a working visit to the Lao PDR. During the visit, Samdech Krolahom Deputy Prime Minister has hold meeting with Brig. Gen. Somkeo Silavong, Minister of Public Security of Lao PDR.

5 After the Meeting, two sides signed on the Minutes of Cooperation in 2018 aimed at fostering their cooperation in maintaining peace, security and order along the common border and on time information exchange. Samdech Krolahom Deputy Prime Minister has also paid courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

6 Activities on 5 to 7 February 2018

7 From 5 to 7 February 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia has the honor to accompany H.E Mr. Nhem Valy, Secretary General of the National Council for Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodia Motherland and delegation to pay official visit to Vientiane, Lao PDR. During this visit, H.E Nhem Valy was hold bilateral meetings with Representative of the Lao Front for National Development to further strengthen relations between the two national development bodies and has paid courtesy calls on H.E Dr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane, President of Lao Front for National Development, H.E Lt. Gen. Sengnouan Xayalath, Vice President of the National Assembly of Lao PDR and Chairman of the Association of Lao-Cambodia friendship and H.E. Ms. Sounthone Sayachack, Chairperson of the Committee for External Relations of the Lao People s Revolutionary Party. At the end of the visit, H.E Ambassador CHENG Manith hosted the dinner in honour of H.E Nhem Valy and delegation at his residence.

8 The Royal Embassy of Cambodia participated in the Diplomatic Friendship Badminton Tournament on 24 March 2018 at Setha Badminton Club organized by US embassy in Vientiane. At the final games, the team from Royal Embassy of Cambodia won in the second place among the 23 teams participated. 1

9 The Royal Embassy of Cambodia participated in the Mekong-Langcang Cooperation(MLC) Week 2018 on 23 March 2018 at Don Chan Palace Hotel which consist of 4 activities, namely: a Lecture on MLC, MLC Photo Exhibition, MLC Food Fare and MLC Handicraft Exhibition. The organization of these events is to celebrate the 2 nd Anniversary of the establishment of the MLC. Several traditional Cambodian handicrafts and foods were displayed and served to people for tasting. The opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mr. Thongphane SAVANPHET, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR. H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the International Friendly Match between Cambodia and Laos on 21 March 2018 at the Laos National Stadium in Vientiane. At final game, Cambodia team won 1 score over Laos team. The Cambodian ambassador expressed his satisfaction and is proud of the successful of the Cambodian team. He strongly believes that the Cambodia team will try its best to get more achievements in the future in international match for the Cambodian nation. 2

10 H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the Exhibition Made In Laos 2018 which was presided over by H.E Thoungloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR on 14 March 2018 at ITECC. Many of Laos Products made in Laos have been put on display and sale to customers. Several Workshops and business matching were also held to promote business relations and partner to promote Laos business. 3

11 H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the ASEAN Consultative Meeting held on 12 March 2018 at Don Chan Palace Hotel. The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr. Thongphane SAVANPHET, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR and all ASEAN Ambassadors to Lao PDR. During this meeting, H.E Cheng Manith also briefed the political development and the preparation of the Royal Government of Cambodia in organizing the national election on 29 July H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR participated in the ASEAN group players to play football match with the Australian team on 12 March 2018 at the Faculty of Engineering to celebrate the First ASEAN-Australia Summit. 4

12 From 29 March to 1 April 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia has the honor to accompany the high Cambodian delegation led by Sambech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to attend the 6 th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit and the 10 th Cambodia-Lao-Viet Nam Summit on Development Triangle Area in Ha Noi. During these Summits, Samdech Techo Prime Minister also holds a bilateral talk with H.E Wang Yi, State Councilor and the Foreign Minister of the People s Republic of China to enhance the bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and China to a new height. 1

13 On 4-5 April 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR sent off and received H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane who led the Laos high delegation to attend the 3rd Mekong River Commission Summit held in Siem Reap, Cambodia. 2

14 The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane cooperates with the Cambodian students studying in Lao PDR has organized the reception to celebrate the Cambodian-Lao New Year 2018 on 4 April 2018 at the Lao National University. 3

15 In the morning of 5 April 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR received Mr. Ahmet H. Pektas, Principal Eastern Star Schools at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane who wishes to express his best wishes for the Cambodian diplomats and staff for the Cambodian New Year. Moreover, the two sides discussed on how to cooperate in the future for the graduate students from the Eastern Star Schools can continue their higher education in Cambodia. In the afternoon of April 6, 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the Lao Coffee Festival at Chao Anouvong Park in Vietiane. The Festival was presided over by H.E Mrs. Khemmani Pholsena, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Lao PDR. 4

16 On 8 April 2018, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane had organized a reception for the Cambodian community and Laos friends to celebrate the Cambodian-Lao New Year 2018 at the Residence of the Cambodian Ambassador. During the reception, H.E Ambassador Cheng Manith had discussion with Cambodian businessmen about their business activities in Lao PDR and on how to improve Cambodia-Lao Trade relations. 5

17 In the morning of April 9, 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the Exclusive Briefing on SELANGOR International Business Summit 2018 at the Growne Hotel organized by the Embassy of Malaysia and Trade Promotion Department of Malaysia. This briefing will also conduct in Cambodia on 11 April 2018 with the objective to attract more business from Cambodia and Laos as well as from all ASEAN countries to participate in the Business Summit 2018 to be held from 6 to 16 September 2018 in Malaysia. 6

18 In the afternoon of April 11, 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia and his spouse and the staff of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia attended the Get Together reception hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR to celebrate the Lao New Year 2018 at the Phoy Phai Lin Resort. In the evening of April 11, 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia attended the Celebration of Khaen music of the Lao People s Inscription to the World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO at the National Cultural Hall. The ceremony was presided over by H.E Thongloun SISOULITH, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. Khaen music group from Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, Netherland and French were also performed on the stage for the audience in this ceremony. 7

19 On 23 April 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the opening ceremony of the Intellectual Property Exhibition at the ITECC Center which was presided over by H.E Thongloun SISOULITH, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

20 On 30 April 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR met with H.E Ms. H.E Phongsamouth, Director General of Asia, Pacific and Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR to brief on the political development in Cambodia. The paper entitled To Tell The Truth Version I and II issued by the Royal Government of Cambodia with the aim of clarifying and setting the records straight on various controversial issues on Human Rights and Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press in Cambodia were distributed to the MFA of Lao PDR for perusal.

21 The Opening Ceremony of Planetarium & SME s Fair of the Republic of Indonesia in Vientiane On 5 May 2018, E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the opening ceremony of the Planetarium & SME s Fair organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia at the Vientiane Center.

22 Wreath-Laying ceremony at the French Military Cemetery in Vientiane On 8 May 2018, E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the Wreath-Laying ceremony at the French Military Cemetery in Vientiane organized by the Embassy of France.

23 Opening Ceremony of ASEAN Writers Symposium and Literature Books Exhibition On 9 May 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the Opening Ceremony of ASEAN Writers Symposium and Literature Books Exhibition at University Hall, National University of Laos organized by the Lao National ASEAN COCI, Sub-Committee on Culture, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Lao PDR. Many kind of Cambodian books have been put in display and for sale.

24 H.E Ambassador Cheng Manith received a courtesy call on by H.E Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR In the morning of 11 May 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR received a courtesy call on by H.E Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia.

25 H.E Ambassador Cheng Manith participated in 1 ASEAN Peace World Cycling Tour in Laos In the morning of 13 May 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR participated in the 1 ASEAN Peace World Cycling Tour in Laos at the That Luang Stupa.

26 H.E Senior Minister PRAK Sokhonn led a delegation to pay a working visit to the Lao PDR On 15 May 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, all diplomatic staff of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia, and H.E Bounleua Phandanouvong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR warmly welcomed the arrival of H.E Mr. PRAK Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia and delegates at the Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

In the evening of15 May 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia hosted the dinner in honour of H.E Mr. PRAK Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia and delegates at the Kualao Restaurant in Vientiane.

28 H.E Ambassador CHENG Manith attended the bilateral meeting between H.E Senior Minister PRAK Sokhonn and H.E Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR On 15 May 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia attended the bilateral meeting between H.E Mr. PRAK Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia and H.E Mr. Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR in Vientiane. During the talks, the two Foreign Ministers have agreed to work together to resolve the issue of disputed border area between Cambodia and Lao.

29 H.E Ambassador CHENG Manith attended the luncheon hosted by H.E Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR in hounor of H.E Senior Minister PRAK Sokhonn. In the afternoon of 16 May 2018, H.E Mr. Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR hosted a luncheon in honour of H.E Mr. PRAK Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia and delegates at the Lao Plaza Hotel.

30 The Royal Embassy of Cambodia has intervened to release one Cambodian worker in Luang Prabang province The Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Lao PDR has intervened and coordinated with Ministry of Public Security of Lao PDR to release one Cambodian worker who was arrested by the Lao authority for working illegally in Luang Prabang province. The Royal Embassy of Cambodia has arranged her return to Cambodia on 16 May 2018.

This official launch was presided by the Vice Governor of the Central Bank of Lao PDR.

During this event, Cambodian people in Lao PDR are requested to go to vote in the General Election to be held on 29 July 2018 to implement their duty and rights as stated in the Cambodian law and constitution. The Event was attended by H.E Thoungloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, all ambassadors, heads of International Organizations and resprentatives of the private sectors.

H.E Ambassador encouraged and welcomed the intention of the HGB group company to open their auto business in Vientiane. H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Mr. Youk Chamroeunrith, Managing Director and Dr. Or Saovanna, General Manager of Forte Insurance (Cambodia) Plc H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Mr. Youk Chamroeunrith, Managing Director and Dr. Or Saovanna, General Manager of Forte Insurance (Cambodia) Plc on 10 July 2018 at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane. The operation of the TOKO Assurance and business environment in Lao PDR were discussed during this meeting.

42 H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Dr. Svay Hay, Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Lao,.Ltd. H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Dr. Svay Hay, Managing Director of ACLEDA Bank Lao,.Ltd. on 12 July 2018 at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia. During the meeting, they discussed about the political and socio-economic development in Lao PDR and operation of bank. H.E Ambassador also requested the Dr. Hay to help provide information and promote investors from Cambodia to invest more in the Lao PDR.

43 On 26 July 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR, attended the inauguration of the new cement road in Khos Anlong Chen Commune, S ang Districk, Kandal Province. This inauguration was presided by H.E Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.

44 On 31 July 2018, the Representative of the Cambodian Red Cross presents a donation of funds worth US$50,000 to H.E Mr. Prasith Sayasith, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Cambodia at the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The donation is set to support flood victims in Sanamxay district, Attapeu Province. The Royal Government of Cambodia also makes a US$100,000 donation to assist people affected by this flooding.

45 On 10 August 2018, H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR and Ambassadors from member states and dialogue partners of ASEAN, Senior Officials from the Government of Lao PDR attended the Flag Hoisting Ceremony to commemorate the 51 st Anniversary of ASEAN and 21 st Anniversary of Lao PDR s Accession to ASEAN at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR. During the event, H.E Mr Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, highlighted the significance of the ASEAN Day (August 8) for all 10 member states. ASEAN has gradually evolved, gained consistent achievements and become the ASEAN Community today with firm and strong foundation to move forward at the pace comfortable to all of us. 1

48 On 21 August 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia hosted the ASEAN Consultative Meeting Working Lunch at the Don Chan Palace Hotel. The Working Lunch were attended by H.E Thongphane Savanphet, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Laos ASEAN SOM Leader, Ambassadors of the Member States of ASEAN and diplomats. The Meeting exchanged views on the political, socio-economic development in Lao PDR, results of the national election in Cambodia on 29 July 2018, outcomes of 32 nd ASEAN Summit, ACMECS Summit and ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting and Related Meetings on 31 July -4 August

49 On 19 September 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR, attended the signature ceremony of the financing agreement between the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD) and the Wildlife Conservative Society (WCS) in order to continue their support to the authorities in charge of the management of the protected areas in the Lao PDR, Cambodia and Myanmar. In this agreement, the AFD and the French Global Environment Facility approved a 4.1 Million Euro to support the work of WCS.

50 H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR was accompanying the Senior Cambodian Military delegation led by Gen. Vong Pisen, Commander in Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces to pay an official visit to Lao PDR from September During the Visit, Gen. Vong Pisen holds the bilateral talk with H.E Lt. Gen. 51 H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR was accompanying the high delegation of the Cambodian People s People Party led by H.E Mr. SIM Ka, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People s Party and Chairman of the Financial Committee, to pay an official visit to Lao PDR from September During the visit, H.E SIM Ka, holds the bilateral talk with H.E. Mr. Khamphan PHOMMATHAT, Member of Politburo and Member of Secretariat Committee of the Lao People s Revolutionary Party Central Committee. At the end of meeting, two sides signed the cooperation agreement between Cambodian People s Party and the Lao People s Revolutionary Party. H.E Mr. SIM Ka, paid a courtesy call on H.E Mr. Bounnhang VORACHITH, General Secretary of the Lao People s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR.

52 On 5 October 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the opening ceremony of the 2018 Korea Week Festival at the Vientiane Center organized by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Lao PDR. The aim of this festival is to promote culture, business and tourism between the Republic of Korea and the Lao PDR. On 8 October 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the 13 th Trade and Private Sector Working Group Meeting cochairs by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Lao PDR and Ambassadors of the European Union and Australia to Lao PDR at the Don

The Meeting exchanged views on how to improve business environment and trade facilitation in the Lao PDR as well as good coordinator between private sectors and relevant ministries of the Lao PDR. From October 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR accompany Cambodian Delegation led by H.E Ang Vong Vathana, Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia to attend the 10 th ASEAN Law Ministers Meeting held in Vientiane at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Meeting discused on how to improve coordinaiton and cooperation among ASEAN member states on the legal matters.

54 On 12 October 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the opening ceremony of the Safe Mekong Coordination Centre at the Don Chan Palace Hotel organized by the Ministry of Public Security of Lao PDR. This center will play an important role to combate drug trafficking and drug crimes related in the Mekong region. On 12 October 2018, H.E CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the opening ceremony of Lao Techmart 2018 at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Centre presised over by H.E Dr.

55 Bouthong Chitmany, Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. The Lao Techmart showcasing latest advances in science and industry. One Cambodian booth was opened to exhibite Cambodian handicrafts. On 15 October 2018, the diplomatic and local staff of the Embassy, students and Cambodian people working and living in Lao PDR pay homage to the late King- Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk (Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh) on the occasion of the Sixth Year Anniversary of his passing away, at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

56 We never forget the great and tireless efforts made by His Majesty King Father Norodom Sihanouk in gaining the national independence from French colonialism and for Khmer national unity and development. We pray that the soul of the late King-Father is reincarnated in a world of happiness for all lives.

57 On 6 November 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR received the courtesy call by H.E Jeanblanc-Risler, Ambassador of France at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia, and were discussed on a wide range of areas of common interest including political, trade, economic and tourism between Cambodia and French as well as political and socio-economic development in the Lao PDR.

59 The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane, Lao PDR hosted a reception to mark the 65 th National Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the 62 nd Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Lao PDR on November 9, H.E Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR was the Guest of Honour during this reception. More than 200 guests comprising of H.E Sengnounane Sayalath, Vice President of the Lao National Assembly, the Lao PDR government ministers, Ambassadors, senior officials, and Cambodian working and residing in the Lao PDR attended the function held at the Don Chan Palace Hotel, Vientiane. In his welcome remarks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, Mr. Cheng Manith highlighted the remarkable achievements that Cambodia have been achieved since the Independence was proclaimed in 1953, and particular since the implementation of reform called the Triangular Strategy from 1998 under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia. Cambodia has transformed from the war torn kingdom to a peaceful kingdom. Cambodia has achieved economic growth of 7% per annum over the past two decades. Cambodia has moved up classification wise into a lower-middle income economy by the World Bank Group in Cambodia significantly reduced

60 poverty rate to below 10% in 2017 compared to 50% in 1992 and absolute poverty in Cambodia s economic growth remains strong, projected to reach around 7% in this year and in the medium term. Cambodia has a vision to be a high middleincome country by On bilateral ties, Cambodia and Lao PDR enjoy traditional friendship, good neighborliness and brotherly solidarity with the people of the two countries joining hands in the fight for national independence against the same foreign invaders. Such good relations have been developed and cherishes constantly since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on 15 June Bilateral relations are characterized by a regular exchange of visits at all levels. These exchange of visits have promoted and strengthened mutual understanding, trust, effective and multidimensional cooperation between the two countries.

61 On 11 November 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia attended the commemoration of the centenary of the Armistice (End of the First World War) which was held at the French military cemetery.

62 On 12 November 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia attend the 1 st Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Buddhist Leaders Conference at the Lao National Convention Centre in Vientiane. After the meeting, H.E

64 On December 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR, attended the bilateral talk between H.E Mr. HOR Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and H.E Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People s Republic of China and 4 th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers Meeting in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. On the bilateral meeting, Cambodia and China agreed to further strengthen the good relations between the two countries to higher level. For 4 th MLC Foreign Ministers Meeting, the meeting aims to implement the outcomes of the 2 nd MLC Leaders Meeting, plan the next stage development of the MLC, and prepare for the 3 rd MLC Leaders Meeting.

65 On 24 December 2018, H.E Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR, met separately with H.E Mr. Bounleua Phandanouvong, Director General of Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR and H.E Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Justice of Lao PDR to discuss on the extradition and transfer of the prisoners between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR. On 27 December 2018, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Lao PDR worked and coordinated with Ministry of Public Security of Lao PDR to release 2 Cambodian workers who were arrested by the Lao authority for working illegally on construction site in Louang Namtha province. The Royal Embassy of Cambodia has arranged their return to Cambodia.
