Mahoney retires from his duties and Elston P. Ingalls is named to replace him in the newly-created position of managing editor. Donald A. Waterhouse appointed city editor of -Saco Journal. It was second appointment in two days by the paper; City editor Elston P. Ingalls was named managing editor due to retirement of Timothy J. Mahoney. The -Saco Journal has been sued for $350,000 in libel suits by a local attorney and his son. The Journal had "no comment" on advice of attorney.
