Volume 46 Issue 11 July 2018 CantonWomen.com Share on: Canton Connection Membership Newsletter Message from the President Hope you are enjoying your summer thus far, even when the weather is steamy. This year has been so fun. I hope you enjoy all the pictures in this newsletter. There is more fun to come especially with all the great ideas from the May discussion. We will do general planning for the year at our board meeting on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at 7 to 9 pm location TBD. Please join us for input. There is still fun to be had this summer as some interest groups continue to meet. Sign up with the interest group leader to be added to email lists so you can stay informed along with checking the Canton Newcomers and Neighbors Face Book page. We still need a volunteer to submit articles and events to The Focus and The Observer. Please contact me if you can help. Thanks to the members who have served or assisted in any way this last year. Mary DesOrmeau and Nada Whitfield-Dunn are leaving their roles as board members, but we welcome Debbie Ritter-Dunford as our new secretary, Mary Myers as interest group coordinator and Diane Sands as a welcoming assistant. Finally, please keep member Karen Bronkhorst in your prayers as her husband Richard passed away after a long illness. He co-led Couples Bunco with Karen for years and will be missed by all. A quick recover is wished for Susan Gondoly, who recently had surgery. We also wish Suszanne Jaskowski well as she moves to Tennessee. Mary Arrasmith President Take a lawn chair and find your Canton Newcomer Friends at Canton s Thursday Night Concert Series at the Heritage Park amphitheater, located behind the Canton Public Library. The concert is from 7:30-9 pm with the following bands appearing for the rest of the Summer. We hope to see you there. Don t forget that when you are out and about to talk up our wonderful group and encourage all that you meet to come check us out. You just never know where and when you can bring on a new member. Stay cool in this incredibly warm start to our summer. For those returning members who missed the early bird membership sign up, I will see you at the sign in table in September. More to follow for programming and interests. It takes a long time to grow an old friend. Make sure you treasure them.
