APPEAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS Any action taken by the Planning Commission this date regarding Reclassifications, Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Public Convenience or Necessity Determinations, Tentative Tract and Parcel Maps will be final 10 calendar days after Planning Commission action unless a timely appeal is filed during that time. This appeal shall be made in written form to the City Clerk, accompanied by an appeal fee in an amount determined by the City Clerk. The City Clerk, upon filing of said appeal in the Clerk's Office, shall set said petition for public hearing before the City Council at the earliest possible date. You will be notified by the City Clerk of said hearing. Reports and Recommendations ITEM NO. 1A FINAL SITE PLAN NO. 2018-00001 (DEV2017-00113) Request for withdrawal 1601 South Disneyland Drive Request: The applicant requests approval of a final site plan to construct an eight story, 700-room hotel with 82,000 square feet of ancillary restaurant and retail space, and a parking structure. Elaine Thienprasiddhi ethien@anaheim.net will consider if an Addendum to the previously-certified Final Environmental Impact Report No. 311 (FEIR 311) is the appropriate environmental document for this project and that none of the conditions set forth in Sections 15162 or 15163 of the State CEQA Guidelines calling for the preparation of a subsequent environmental impact report or a supplement to FEIR 311 have occurred. ITEM NO. 1B FINAL SITE PLAN NO. 2018-00003 (DEV2016-00062) 350 West Center Street Promenade Request: The applicant requests approval of a final site plan to construct a six-story mixed-use project with 57 residential units, 16,500 square feet of ancillary commercial and office space, and a parking structure. Public Hearing Items ITEM NO. 2 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2018-05964 (DEV2018-00004) 5515 East La Palma Avenue Request: A conditional use permit to allow an educational institution for students with special needs (Port View Preparatory). The proposed use would occupy approximately 27,000 square feet within the first floor of an existing office building. Request for continuance to the September 5, 2018 meeting. ITEM NO. 3 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2017-05922 VARIANCE NO. 2018-05103 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE OR NECESSITY NO. 2018-00140 (DEV2017-00053) 260 South Euclid Street Request: The applicant requests approval of the following zoning entitlements: (i) a conditional use permit to demolish an existing service station and construct a new 2,253 square foot service station and convenience store; (ii) a variance to permit reduced front landscape setbacks; and (iii) an associated Determination of Public Convenience or Necessity to permit the sale of beer and wine for off-site consumption in conjunction with the convenience store. ITEM NO. 4 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2018-05958 (DEV2018-00016) 1041 & 1065 North PacifiCenter Drive 1071 & 1081 North Tustin Avenue Request: To permit a coordinated sign program, consisting of monument signs, pylon signs, wall signs, and a freeway-oriented sign, for a mixed-use development within DA-3 (Transit Oriented Area) of the Anaheim Canyon Specific Plan (Link OC). ITEM NO. 5 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2016-05857 (DEV2016-00010) 2961 West Ball Road Request: To amend a previously-approved conditional use permit for a recently-constructed car wash facility. The amendment is to modify or delete a condition of approval pertaining to a requirement to retrofit windows at an existing motel adjacent to the subject property for sound attenuation purposes.
