Have the Board set a date for a public hearing for consideration of comments and suggestions concerning the request of the City of Saraland for the adoption of Salary Grade 14, $2, $4,769.27, for the classification of Permit Technician. 13. Have the Board set a date for a public hearing for consideration of comments and suggestions concerning the request of the Mobile Housing Board for the amendment of Salary Grade 26,
4 - 4 - $7, $11,601.42, to Salary Grade 27, $8, $ 12,805.80, for the classification of Housing Board Deputy Executive Director. 14. The Mobile County Sheriff s Office requests approval for an extension of the Injured with Pay for Anthony Gardner, Sheriff s Corporal, for the period of April 17, 2018 through May 14, Mr. Gardner exhausted his 1,040 hours on April 16, The City of Mobile requests approval for an extension of the Injured with Pay for E. Brian Lucas, Carpenter, for the period of May 22, 2018 through May 28, Mr. Lucas exhausted his 1,040 hours on August 5, The Director reports approval of the following jurisdictional special merit increases: 5% special merit increase for John Manning, Vehicular/Equipment Mechanic with the City of Chickasaw. Mr. Manning has maintained the job responsibilities of the garage division for the past two years without assistance from additional personnel. Aside from his regularly assigned duties, he also completes additional work from all the different departments within the jurisdiction. Mr. Manning is viewed as an extremely hard worker and is a dependable asset to the City of Chickasaw. 17.5% special merit increase for Akinola Popoola, Executive Director for the Mobile Housing Board. Mr. Popoola has demonstrated direction and leadership as the Executive Director while addressing challenging and complex issues facing the agency. Mr. Popoola s willingness to accept challenges and serve as a leader is appreciated by the Mobile Housing Board. 17. The Director reports receipt of a letter from the City of Chickasaw advising consideration of a possible bonus, incentives, and/or possible raise after October 1st and will notify the Personnel Board when a decision has been made for fiscal year The Director reports receipt of the Fiscal Year Holiday Schedule for the Mobile Public Library. 19. The Director reports approval of the creation of the following jurisdictional positions: Creation of two (2) additional positions of Treatment Plant Operator III for the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System, Creation of one (1) additional position of Operations and Compliance Manager for the Mobile Housing Board, Creation of two (2) additional positions of Librarian II for the Mobile Public Library, Creation of one (1) additional position of Librarian III for the Mobile Public Library, Creation of one (1) additional position of Environmental Patrol Officer I for the City of Prichard,
5 - 5 - (F) Creation of one (1) additional position of Information Systems Manager for the Mobile County Personnel Board. 20. The Director recommends that the following Orders of the Board be spread fully upon the minutes: Wykeith Topping vs. Mobile County Sheriff s Office, Dannie Roberts vs. Mobile County. 21. Have the Board set dates for a public hearing concerning the following employee appeals: Appeal from dismissal filed by Brittania Rogers, former Public Service Worker I with the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Prichard, Appeal from dismissal filed by Cheryl Kirkland, former Fiscal Clerk I with the City of Mobile Police Department. 22.
