III. IV. Public Comment: None Approval of the Minutes: Soriano moved to approve the minutes. Saunders seconded. Motion passes without objections. Approval of the Agenda: Davis moved to approve the agenda with the correction of Sarah Kinney being put at OC Senator instead of CLC Senator. Castano seconded. Motion passes without objections. V. Swear-Ins: Individuals appointed by the Student Senate or Executive Council shall be sworn into office by the ASG President and ASG Advisor, per Article XVI, Section A. VI. Brittany Law [OC Senator] and Allison Rafferty [Student at Large for OC] were in attendance to be sworn in for their positions. Discussion and Possible Action Items: Each member will be allowed to speak on each item a maximum of three times during deliberation unless otherwise waived by the chair. In the interest of time, please try not to repeat what has already been said. Mendez moved to suspend the order of the day. Edwards seconded. By a show of hands, 22/0 motion passes. Order of the day is suspended. A. Guided Pathways for Student Success and Equity: Hill was in attendance to present information about a proposal for Guided Pathways for Students Success and Equity. Mendez moved to extend the time for 5-minutes. Moreno seconded. Motion passes without objections. B. Spending Bills: Members will discuss and possibly approve the following spending bills. (Moreno, 15 mins) a) SB-FY17-18 Poinsettia Centerpiece for Holiday Luncheon: Members reviewed the recommended SB-FY17-18 in the amount of $ Rice Carroll and Moreno gave background information and answered questions from the members. -2-

4 provide background about the booklet that was put together for students. Saunders moved to pass the spending bill [for $625]. Dunigan seconded. Saunders moved to amend the original motion for $625. Wounded Warrior Homes: Stacy Paulie was in attendance to provide background information about the services that Wounded Warrior Homes provides to the community of Veterans at MiraCosta College and ways ASG can show support. D. R-FY17-03: Mendez discussed R-FY17-03: Pledge of Solidarity in support to our African-American fellow students. She provided background information with whom she s been working with to complete her work. Mendez moved to create an AdHoc Committee for R-FY17-03 cochaired by Courtney and Lucas. Medina seconded. IX. Committee Reports Medina thanked the members who were involved in with assisting the Bond Committee with the campaign for Measure MM. Saunders spoke on behalf of the PR Committee regarding the brochure and getting feedback from the ASG members and community. X. Student Correspondence: None XI. XII. Future Agenda Items: None Communication from the Floor Mendez announced Pipeline to Greatness at Laurel Elementary, and they need volunteers for the event on December 2 nd. Gonzales addressed the office hours of the Student Activites Office and staff. Reyes announced the City of Encinitas that MiraCosta has a float in the parade, and they need students to be in the parade. Davis announced and awarded Lucas Schacht Senator of the Month award for October, and Mendez announced. Saunders addressed that all members should get their t-shirts and wear them next meeting. XIII.
