Holiday Entertainment Adjourn The purpose of the Yellow Rose Chapter shall be to expand the knowledge and image of the office of the City Secretary or City Clerk (Municipal Clerk); to engage in organized efforts to promote awareness of the importance of the duties performed by those in municipal government; to encourage each member to pursue the education opportunities offered, emphasizing the value of certifications afforded by membership in the TMCA; to foster relationships and network opportunities along with assistance and support among the chapters and individuals throughout our area, as well as throughout the state; to mentor new city clerks/secretaries and to impart professionalism, honesty and integrity to the communities we represent and to stand united in the common goal of upholding the constitution and laws of our communities, state and country.

Welcome: Chapter President Dara Crabtree President Crabtree called the meeting to order at 11:37am and thanked the City of Waxahachie for hosting the meeting as well as those in attendance. Deputy City Secretary Ivy Peterson provided the invocation. 2. Presentation of new Yellow Rose Chapter Website Jesse Elizondo, Deputy City Secretary, presented the new website for the Yellow Rose Chapter highlighting all of the functions of the site. He welcomed any comments or suggestions. The website address is It was a unanimous decision that Mr. Elizondo did an amazing job with the new website. 3. Consider Chapter Officer Nominations From The Floor, City of Waxahachie, was nominated as Board Secretary from the floor by Dara Crabtree and seconded by Kisha Morris. Motion carried unanimously. 4. 3 Below is the list of candidates/nominations for the Officers positions for FY , all with a term of one (1) year, with the exception of Treasurer, which has a term of two (2) years. 4 Scholarship Committee Susan House, Chair Cindy Gross Ivy Peterson Leslie Galloway Holiday Committee, Chair Cindy Gross Mayra Ortiz Sonja Land Bylaws Review Committee, President Susan House, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer Jesse Elizondo, Historian There was a motion by Lori Saunders with a second by Susan House to approve the nominations as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 6. Consider YR meting minutes dated August 4, 2016 There was a motion by with a second by to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously. 7. Receive Year End Financial Update Susan House, Treasurer, presented the update to include luncheon payments and expenditures. She indicated that the revenue generated totaled $4,610 and the expenditures totaled $1, The bank balance as of September 30, 2016 was $8, Ms. House indicated that the Membership Dues will be distributed via next week. The membership dues are $50 per year for regular members and $25 per year for retirees. There were no questions or comments from the group. There was a motion by Jesse Elizondo and a second by Alicia Thomas to approve the update as presented. The motion carried unanimously. 8.
