Clients included the Development Bank of Southern Africa, the African National Congress, Planact (an urban local government and planning NGO), the National Land Committee (NGO), the Rural Foundation, the Association of European Parliamentarians/African European Institute and others. Researcher: Centre for Policy Studies Managed the Outreach/ lobbying component of the CPS in the Office of the Deputy Director Co-ordinated a research project on inner-city decay, and the needs and uses for public amenities is Central Johannesburg. Worked on projects that: - Looked at how government perceived advocacy efforts from the private sector; - Monitored urbanisation trends; - Investigated alternatives forms of national service to military service

Conceptual study on monitoring and evaluation related terminology to assist with role clarification for the Gauteng Provincial Service Commission in terms of these structure assuming its new role as prescribed by the New Public Service Commission System (1998). These reports were used in the negotiations around local government restructuring in the various in the early 1990 s. This research formed part of the first round of policy research that five years later culminated in the new Science and Technology Policy.
