GROUP PHOTO (Suggested tea break) UN Security Council Resolution 2250: Foundation and Components 12:00 pm Type: Presentation Objective: To present UNSCR 2250, namely its process of adoption as a youth-driven resolution; its structural framework; the Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security mandated by the resolution, and opportunities and challenges for implementation by young people. Outcome: Participants will gain knowledge about the above, unpacking the pillars of the resolution, related issues as reflected in local realities, information gathered through the Progress Study. This will then lead to a more in-depth discussion on how UNSCR 2250 may be understood and adapted to local contexts in the following session. Outcome: Participants will perform a basic mapping of obstacles to building and sustaining peace and reflect on existing opportunities through advocacy, partnership with various stakeholders, including media, and civil society programming and mobilization. Outcome: Participants are aware of the Finnish case as an example of youth engagement in the implementation of UNSCR Ms. Sanni Selene Tenn, Board Member, UN Youth Association of Finland 12:30 pm Lunch BUILDING ALLIANCES Building Alliances: 2250 Youth Hubs 1:30 pm Type: Presentation Objective: To build an alliance for Youth, Peace and Security through the creation of 2250 Youth Hubs as informal spaces for members of the WFUNA Youth Members to come together to discuss ways of supporting the implementation of UNSCR 2250 at the national level, while ensuring the most marginalized are meaningfully included. Outcome: Participants are aware of the importance of building an alliance for Youth, Peace and Security and the potential of creating informal spaces (2250 Youth Hubs) to support the implementation of UNSCR Speaker: BUILDING ALLIANCES A Roadmap towards 2250 Youth Hubs 2:00 pm Type: Group Work Objective: To define and design the 2250 Youth Hubs as a WFUNA Youth Network alliance for Youth, Peace and Security.
