2 The beginning of the Association ISK Initiative of the Association establishment, concentrated representatives of academic society and related to educational area, appeard in the middle of the 2011 year. The Institute of Women s Studies was set-up by a group of scientists of the Faculty of History and Sociology at the University of Bialystok in Poland including Prof. Małgorzata Dajnowicz, sociologist and political scientist dr. Marcin Siedlecki, lawer dr Beatę Goworko- Składanek, biologist dr Annę Snarską (vice-headmistress of IV High School in Białystok).

3 Management of the Association ISK Dr hab. Małgorzata Dajnowicz, prof. UwB the Chair of the Board of the Association The Head of the Department of Social and Political Movements, Professor at History and Political studies Institute at the Uniwersity of Białystok. Visiting Professor at the Institute of the Social Studies at the University of Warsaw (2014 r.). Member of the Commission on Women s History of the Polish Academy of Science, who specializes in world-class research in the fields of women s studies and politics. She published over 120 scientific studies including, four books, few monographs edited by, articles in Polish and English, eg. w "Dziejach Najnowszych", "Przeglądzie Humanistycznym", "Acta Poloniae Historica", "Women's History Review". Gives lektures in many foreign scientific centres, eg on Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Iceland, Finlan. Carry out scientiffic projects spreading and popularizing science (eg with founds NCN, MNiSW, MKiDN). Dr Marcin Siedlecki Member of the Board Sociologist and political scientist. The 1st prize-winner in the competition of Prof. Michał Kulesza (2014 r.) for the best PhD dissertation about local self-government and decentralization issues the winner of XI edition of the competition held by the publishing house Wolters Kluwer SA and the Editorial Board of the Local Government. Didactic experience in The University of Finance and Management (WSFiZ) of Białystok (since 2004 r.) and Lomza State University of Applied Science (PWSIiP) (since 2016 r.). Coordinator of research project for public administration and non-governmental organizations. Experience in preparing and implementation projects cofinanced by EU. Coordinator of training and informationalprojects of Operational Programme,Human Resources Development. The Head of Municipal Economy Department Kierownik of Wasilkow (2016). Dr Anna Snarska Member of the Board Member of ISK since 2011 r., in the Management since Graduate in envitonmental biology in the Branch of the University of Warsaw in Bialystok. Doctor of medical science in Biology (2000 r.). Vice-Headmisstress of IV High School in Bialystok. The Verifier of the Commission checking Matura sheets in Biology, cooperating with Regional Examination Board in Lomza. Coordinator of many projects cofinanced by EU means. Experienced educator.

4 Courses of activity Popularizing research in the areas of woman s studies and related issues in scientific community, educational, culture in local area, in Poland and abroad. Conducting scientific, research, educational and cultural activity, especially in area of women s issues. Conducting and popularizing world-class research and educational activities in the areas of women s history and the cultural heritage of women in Poland, Europe and the World. Realization of projects supporting Polish science development through spreading, promotion and popularizing the results of searching- developmental activity innovative and invetive, also in international scale, as well as projects connected with maintenance of resources, valuable to science and heritage. Realization of projects to create civil socjety and suport for the development local and regional communities, also ino order to strenghten their participation in public policy. to Polish science achievements be more recognizable as well as creation of social reception of Polish science in the country and abroad. Contribution to cooperation and durable relations between subjects acting in science, education and culture areas and subjects acting in socio- economic sphere. Stimulation of innovation and creating cooperation mechanism between science and economic. Initiating and disseminating researches carried out by women in different discipline of science as well as popularization and promotion women s contribution to science, culture, education development. Support, realization and coordination of projects concerning promotion of women participation in public sphere. Development of national and international cooperation in science and education area, including mobility in order to educate youth and adults for innovation, exchange of experiance, good practice as well as disseminating of volunteering and charity. Support of academic staff development, to make Polish science international and contribute

UwB, Women in Christian culture and civilization Seminar 2: dr hab. Małgorzata Dajnowicz, prof. UwB, The place and the role of women in contemporary world according to words of Pope John Paul II Formulated by the Institute of Women s Studies and IV Hihg School of Bialystok series of seminars address to community of students of bialystok High Schools. Over 100 students partcipated in seminars in headquarters of Institute of History and Political Science. The main part of the seminars concern lecture about women contribution to cultural and Christian heritage in Europe, delivered by professors IHiNP UwB.

Bialystok and Podlaskie Voivodship,p.I Research and publishing project comprising description selected biographies of women of culture, who contribute to development of cultural aspect of Bialystok and North East region of Poland. 7 International projects 2017 y. Study visit to the Uniwersity of Iceland in Reykjavik During the visit to the Uniwersity of Iceland the project of cooperation in cultural sphere was discussed with partners. In order to present researchers conducted in Poland about Polish women contribution in development of social and cultural face of Poland in XX c., prof. Małgorzata Dajnowicz delivered the lecture about women s participation in public life, including Polish culture of XX c. After the lecture there was discussion about content of the lecture and about cultural activity of women in Poland and Iceland. Activity cofinanced with the programme of Promotion cultural and artistic variety under the project of European cultural heritage as a part of MF EOG Bilateral Cooperation Fund part "A"

Educational project Over stereotypes women on labour market" With Foreign Partners - Ekononomską Skolą Braca Radic from Croatia and Istituto Tecnico Economico Statale Roberto Valturio from Italy Institute realize international project financed with Erasmus+ programme concerning disseminating scientific knowledge and education about position of women on labour market in reference to the situation of women in Poland (on the example of Podlasie), Italy and Croatia. In this project participate academics, High School and grammar school teachers and students.

The special guest of the event was prof. Małgorzata Fuszara, the lawer and sociologist, conducting international research on the mechanism of including and excluding women from public sphere. Seminar. Women in media. Journalists, publicists, authors of media coverages. The meeting was organized by Institut of Women s studies and Department of the Contemporary Political Doctrine UwB. The main topic of the meeting was Women and image of woman in public sphere. In seminar participated among others prof. dr hab. Grażyna Ulicka from the Institute of the Political Science of the Uniwersity of Warsaw, interested in contemporary democration problems. Forth meeting Women policy law public discourse. The special guest of the event was prof. dr hab. Jolanta Chwastyk- Kowalczyk from UJK of Kielce, Head of the Institute of Journalism and Information, connected to Polish University Abroad in London (PUNO).

11 Conferences 2015 Nationwide science conference Women s roads to politics ( in XVIII-XXI centuries)" May , Bialystok Nationwide conference is prestigious science event of the Commission on Women s History of the Polish Academy of Science PAN coorganized by Department of Social and Political Movements UwB and Institute of Women s Studies. The result of the conference is the next volume of KHK KNH PAN, published with complicity of WHS UwB and the Institute Women s roads to politics ( in XVIII XXI centuries)", edited by Teresa Kulak and Małgorzata Dajnowicz, Publishing by Chronicon, Wrocław 2016.

12 Conferences cont Nationwide science conference "Politics and politicians in press of XX i XXI centuries", June , Bialystok The purpose of the conference "Politics and politicians in the press of XX i XXI c." was scientific discussion about forms and evolution of presence of politics and politicians in the press as well as the role and importance of the press and the press reporters in politics creation. The result of the debate is Scientific monograph "Politics and politicians in the press of XX i XXI c.", edited by Małgorzata Dajnowicz and Adam Miodowski, published by HUMANICA, Bialystok 2016, consisting of scientific descriptions of 28 researchers from different research centres in Poland.

In conference participated specialists in history of press, including press experts and politologists of UW, UJ, UMK, UMCS, UŁ, UwB. The conference was held under the aspices of Prof. dr hab. The central idea of the Science Magazine of the Institute of Women s Studies is to be interdisciplinary, in the pages of the magazine science achievements in the field of History, Science of Politics, Law, Sociology, Cultural Studies and Literature are presented and disseminated. Science materials presented in the magazine share common interest of women, presented from perspectice of Humanities and Social sciences. The magazine is oriented on problems, experiences and professional observations of practicians. 17 Partners of the Association ISK Institut of History and Political Science of the Uniwersity in Bialystok Institut of History (transformed into the Institut of History and Political Science) is one of the firsts instituts constituted in the Branch of Warsaw University in Bialystok (currently Uniwersity of Bialystok). Educate students on the History, International Relations and Eastern Studies faculties. Researchers are conducted within the departments. There is 49 researchers. The greater part of initiatives of the Institut of Women s Studies was coorganized with our partner the Department of Social and Political Movements. Department of Law of the University of Białystok As independent department Faculty of Law was established in the Branch of Warsaw University in Białystok in Currently the Department educates students in faculties of Law, Administration, National Security, European Studies, Cryminology. Cyprian Kamil Norwid IV High School in Bialystok IV High School was established in In 1998 the school was named after Cyprian Kamil Norwid. One of the best High School in Podlasie. It is distinguishable for it s sports achievements and high level of education. IV High School is working in close cooperation with many educational centres in Europe.
