Slovak Journal of Political Sciences publishes original papers written by political scientists in Slovakia and abroad, sociological essays from our social, economical, political and cultural life. It presents information about political science publication, activities in political sciences, international conferences and congresses. It pays special attention to the problems of political system, political parties, civic society, regional communities, cities and villages, the dilemmas of university students, social structure and pathological phenomena. Papers from the history of Political Sciences, from theory and methodology, findings of sociological research and surveys of public opinion are also published. The journal is not only for political scientists and sociologists, but also for the broader public, for university and middle-level school students, cultural and educational workers, activists of political parties and for all those who want to know more about our society. SPR is published by the Institute of Social and Political Sciences UCM in Trnava. It is published in Slovak (2 issues per annum) and in English (2 issues per annum). 4 is published twice a year in the spring and fall as the No 1 and No 3. ISSN It is published by The Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Trnava is a platform for the publication of original papers by Slovak social scientists and contributors from abroad. It offers space for discussion of problems in the Central and Eastern Europe. NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS Manuscripts Submission Manuscripts should be submitted in electronic format. After being accepted by the editors for peer-review process, the author(s) should submit printed version of the manuscript. The editors require the original and two readable copies, which do not include the author s name and address. The author s name and complete contact address, as well as references which could help his or her identification, should appear on a detachable sheet. The peer-review process is mutually anonymous. Each manuscript must be accompanied by a 100-word Abstract to appear at the beginning of the article. Manuscript format Manuscripts should be typed or computer printed, double-spaced, with 60 columns per line. The length of each article should not normally exceed 25 pages. Reviews must be 7 pages or less. Please note that the magazine does not return authors manuscripts. Editorial decision A decision on acceptability is usually sent to the author within 8 weeks of submission. The authors of the accepted manuscript will also be asked to submit its final version also in MS Word. The final version should also include a twenty-line English abstract, an alphabetized bibliography and basic information about the author. The editorial staff reserves the right to publish texts from the journal in electronic and in other forms.
