He has over 13 years working experience as a university lecturer teaching at Covenant University and researching on African economic development and social science related issues since September, Henry Okodua was Head, Department of Economics and Development Studies between 2015 and Henry Okodua holds a PhD in Economics Degree (Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria), a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics Degree (University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics Degree (University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria). Henry Okodua was an Associate Consultant to the Government of Ghana in 2015/2016 where he participated in a commissioned study by the Ghanaian Ministry of Trade and Industry (Study on the European Union West Africa Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) to assess the economic and social impact of the EPA on the Ghanaian Economy). Henry Okodua was also a Regional Consultant to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission in 2012 and he contributed to the production of a technical report on Investment Climate Monitoring Indicators in ECOWAS countries. Henry Okodua is a member, IFPRI s African Experts Group helping African governments/states in the design of the second phase of the National Agricultural Investment Plans (NAIPs) towards the effective implementation of the 2014 Malabo declaration on Accelerated Agricultural Growth and Transformation for Shared Prosperity and Improved Livelihoods by African Heads of States and Governments. Henry Okodua was also a delegate to the African Union/UNECA organized 1 st Africa Trade Forum and Africa High Level Trade Facilitation Forum during the Africa Trade Week in 2016 which held at the AU headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Henry Okodua has been a member of Governing Council, Faith Academy, Canaan Land, Ota, Nigeria since Henry Okodua was recently selected by the Times Higher Education to join other World-Class Academics to nominate the top 15 Universities with research and teaching reputation for the forthcoming 2018 World University Rankings.
