3 9.1.5 Discussion on the 2017 Strategic Plan Goals Village Administrator Espiritu gave a presentation regarding the 2017 Strategic Plan Goals results. Staff has started an action plan that will be presented at a future Board meeting. All Trustees agreed that the quarterly check ins are good and important. Trustees also agreed that the goals are achievable in time. President Lee commented that the direction is very consistent to the 2006 vision. Village Administrator Espiritu, Trustee Perez, and President Lee will schedule appointments with other Berkeley governmental agencies and meet with their Board Presidents and top administrators to share our strategic plan goals and vision. 9.2 Finance (Chair Trustee Graf-Stone; Co-Chair Trustee Salemi) Trustee Liaison Report Trustee Graf-Stone stated that Ron Heller from GovHR is helping until we hire a Part-Time Accountant. 4 9.5 Public Works and Water (Chair Trustee Grenier; Co-Chair Trustee Stratton) Trustee Liaison Report No report Monthly Report- Public Works Motion to Approve the Proposed Ordinance of the Village Of Berkeley, Illinois, Requiring the Removal of Snow and Ice from Adjacent Sidewalks in the Village s Right-Of-Way 9.6 Community and Intergovernmental Relations (Chair Trustee Perez; Co- Chair Trustee Graf-Stone) Trustee Liaison Report Trustee Perez stated today the Village hosted a Luncheon with Chambers of Commerce. A new SMART 911 is in place and was presented to the members. They were impressed Adopt-a-Tree Program The Village ordered 25 trees for those who would like to purchase a live tree if they choose. Board will purchase a tree to decorate. 10 Village President 10.1 President s Report President Lee stated he would like to have staff develop a pet ordinance and a discussion on how to transition residents into the new snow removal process. The Town Hall regarding the Flood Mitigation Project was well attended, although there was some flooding, it was well handled Upcoming Events /31/2017 Halloween Trick-O-Treating Hours 3-7 p.m /05/2017 Daylight Savings Time Ends- Fall Back 1hr /07/2017 Board 6:30 p.m. 11 Village Administrator No report 12 Village Attorney No report 13 Public Comments and Questions Jack Rowden Taft Ave. The Village has some intersections that can look better by enhancing the overhead lighting. President Lee responded that the Village will take the comments and look into making Berkeley more favorable. 14 Eecutive Session 14.1 Motion to enter into Eecutive Session at 7:45 pm to consider the:
