DECLARATION OF PRECUNIARY INTERESTS: The following Officers, Committee Members and Club Members of the Baw Baw Hockey Club declared the pecuniary interests detailed below: Richard Brammall Secretary of the Latrobe Valley Hockey Association, non voting member of the Bellbird Park Synthetic Sports and Grass Playing Fields Committee of Management and a Latrobe City Council employee; Keith Sutton President of the Bellbird Park Synthetic Sports and Grass Playing Fields Committee of Management and Secretary of the Bellbird Park Recreation Reserve Committee of Management; and Angie Ward Booking Officer for the Bellbird Park Synthetic and Grass Sports Fields Committee of Management. 5. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: The Secretary presented the Minutes of the previous 2010 Baw Baw Hockey Club Annual General held at 6.40 pm on Friday 22 November 2009 at the Pettit Centre, Gladstone Street, Warragul. Resolution: That the minutes of the previous 2010 Baw Baw Hockey Club Annual General Meeting held on Monday 22 November 2010 be accepted. Moved: Tara Cann Seconded: David Cuthbertson Vote: Carried on the voices. 6. BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING: There was no business arising from the previous Annual General Meeting. 7. PRESIDENTS REPORT: Keith Sutton gave the following verbal Presidents Report and tabled the formal Presidents Report that was presented at the Baw Baw Hockey Club Senior Presentation Night at 7.00 pm on Friday 7 October 2011 at Middels Restaurant, Shop 3, Princes Way, Drouin and at the Baw Baw Hockey Club Junior Presentation Day at 1.30 pm on Sunday 16 October 2011 at the Drouin Cricket Club Rooms, Bellbird Park, Settlement Road, Drouin. Refer to Appendix 2 for a copy of the Presidents Report: Keith thanked Ulrich Goetz for staying on as Treasurer for an additional third term despite wanting to step down from the role after an extended period as Treasurer. 3 Keith thanked Tara Cann and David Cuthbertson for all the work they have done in chairing the Administration Sub Committee and Hockey Operations Sub Committee respectively. Keith thanked the other Committee Members for their efforts on a Committee that was depleted in numbers. Keith indicated that he was stepping down from the role of President because he believed that it would be in the Club s interest that there is a change in the leadership of the Club. However, Keith advised that he would be standing for the role of an Ordinary Committee Member so as to support and mentor incoming Committee Members. Keith indicated that hockey is a team sport that is played as a whole and that that the Cub can only be the sum of the whole. Keith accepted that he has made mistakes during the year but has learnt on the way. Keith indicated that he wished to apologise to anyone he may have offended during his term as President. Keith indicated that he has personally approached Club Members who may have been offended and apologised for any offence caused. There was applause for Keith s apology. Resolution: That the 2011 Baw Baw Hockey Club Presidents Report be accepted. Moved: Ulrich Goetz Seconded: Peter Harris Vote: Carried on the voices. 8. TREASURERS REPORT: Ulrich Goetz presented the Treasurers Report for the year ended 30 September The Treasurers Report included a Profit and Loss Statement for year ended 30 September 2011, Balance Sheet as at 30 September 2011 and Depreciation Schedule for 1 October 2010 to 30 September Refer to Appendix 3 for a copy of the Treasurers Report: Ulrich highlighted the following from the Treasurers Report: Bendigo Bank Cheque Account: $ 4, Bendigo Bank Savings Account: $16, Gross Profit: $38, Total Expenses: $26, Net Surplus: $11, Total Assets: $34, Total Liabilities: $ Net Assets: $33, Total Equity: $33, BBHC Minutes of 2011 AGM of 6

4 There is a balance of $21, in the Bendigo Bank Accounts. There is a Net Surplus of $11, There has been a significant drop in income due to reductions in fees, sponsorships and grants. In addition, there has been no income from the Bellbird Park Canteen for a second year. The move to the Bellbird Park Synthetic Hockey Facility has realised significant savings in ground hire fees for training and games. Jenny Gilbert questioned why there was a disparity in the junior team fees and senior team fees between the 2010 season and the 2011 season. Ulrich indicated that there may be a difference in the way the fees were broken down. Resolution: That the Baw Baw Hockey Club Treasurers Report for the 2010/2011 financial year be accepted. Moved: Peter Harris Seconded: Mark Anderson Vote: Carried on the voices. 9. GENERAL BUSINESS: There was no General Business. 10. ELECTION OF OFFICE BEARERS AND ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBERS: 10.1 Appointment of Chair for Elections: Keith Sutton declared all positions on the Committee of Management vacant. Keith Sutton was selected to chair the meeting for the election of the position of President. With the election of Chris Senini to the position of President, Keith Sutton stood down from the chair because he intended to stand for the position of Ordinary Committee Member. Chris Senini was selected to Chair the meeting for the election of the balance of the positions on the Committee of Management The President: Keith Sutton indicated that the following nomination was received for President.
