Enacted bills are those that were passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor or that became law pursuant to Article 4, Section 35 of the Nevada Constitution and were assigned a chapter number in the Statutes of Nevada. Enacted joint resolutions are those passed by the Legislature and assigned a file number in the Statutes of Nevada. Assembly joint resolutions that seek to amend the Nevada Constitution must be passed by two sessions of the Legislature and then submitted to the people for a vote. Enacted concurrent and one-house resolutions are those adopted by the Legislature and assigned a file number in the Statutes of Nevada.

12 JOINT STANDING RULE NO OF THE SENATE AND ASSEMBLY The Joint Standing Rules of the Senate and Assembly (Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 1, [File No. 1, Statutes of Nevada 2007]) were adopted by both houses of the Nevada State Legislature on February 5, Rule No provided certain deadlines for the enactment of bills. Unless a deadline was waived by the Majority Leader of the Senate and the Speaker of the Assembly pursuant to Rule No of the Joint Standing Rules, no further legislative action was allowed on a bill or joint resolution that failed to meet the established deadlines toward passage and enactment. Senate and Assembly bills and joint resolutions that did not meet the required deadlines have the specific portion of Rule No cited that pertained to each measure. Senate and Assembly bills and joint resolutions that were granted waivers contain the history statement waiver granted along with the effective date of the waiver. SCHEDULE FOR ENACTMENT OF BILLS Rule No Final Dates for Action by Standing Committees and Houses. Except as otherwise provided in Joint Standing Rules Nos. 14.4, 14.5 and 14.6: 1. The final standing committee to which a bill or joint resolution is referred in its House of origin may only take action on the bill or joint resolution on or before the 68th calendar day of the legislative session. A bill may be rereferred after that date only to the Committee on Finance or the Committee on Ways and Means and only if the bill is exempt pursuant to subsection 1 of Joint Standing Rule No Final action on a bill or joint resolution may only be taken by the House of origin on or before the 79th calendar day of the legislative session. 3. The final standing committee to which a bill or joint resolution is referred in the second House may only take action on the bill or joint resolution on or before the 103rd calendar day of the legislative session. A bill may be rereferred after that date only to the Committee on Finance or the Committee on Ways and Means and only if the bill is exempt pursuant to subsection 1 of Joint Standing Rule No Final action on a bill or joint resolution may only be taken by the second House on or before the 110th calendar day of the legislative session. No notice of reconsideration of any final vote on a bill or joint resolution is in order on the last day on which final action is allowed.
