Dallas Sams 12:00 p.m. Room 107 Capitol Tuesday March 29, 2005 MEMBERS PRESENT Anderson Bachman Bakk Dibble Frederickson Jungbauer Kubly Metzen Rosen Sams Vickerman MEMBERS ABSENT Cohen Dille Pariseau The meeting was called to order at 12:08 p.m. Senator Saxhaug presented SF791 State land road easements fee; land management account. Bill Brice, DNR, Lands and Minerals testified in support of the bill. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. Senator Saxhaug presented SF790, Forest suspense account receipts disbursement modification. Bob Tomlinson, DNR, forestry testified in support of the bill. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. Senator Saxhaug presented SF1019, Burning permits electronic issuance. Steve Simmer, DNR testified in support of the bill and responded to questions. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. Senator Kubly presented SF662, Alternative livestock production programs development appropriation. Senator Kubly moved an amendment. The amendment was adopted. Terry VanDerPol, Land Stewardship Project and Helene Murray, Executive Director, Minnesota Institute of Sustainable Agriculture testified in support of the bill and responded to questions. The bill was laid over. Senator Kubly presented SF1357, Minnesota Horticulture Society programs appropriation. Jerry Shannon testified in support of the bill. The bill was laid over for consideration in the omnibus bill. Senator Larson presented SF54 l, Perham veterans museum appropriation. Linda Belar, Friends of the History Museum of East Otter Tail County testified in support of the bill and responded to questions. The bill was laid over for consideration in the omnibus bill.
2 Senator Ruud presented SF703, Cross country ski pass fee increases. Tom Danger, Trails Program Manager, DNR testified in support of the bill and responded to questions. Senator Higgins presented SF1644, Minneapolis summer Youth employment grants appropriation. An amendment was offered by Senator Anderson. The amendment was adopted. Sherman Paterson, Jordon Neighborhood, Dottie Titus, Jordan Neighborhood, Gregory Gray, Urban league;. Louis King III, CEO Summit Academy OIC; Ezell Jones, CEO Premeir Insurance Group; Chip Wells; Linda Tkaczik, Summer Youth Coordinator, Minneapolis Park Board all testified in support of the bill.
