6 Page 6 of MOVED (D. Ivison/T. Randall) that Senate approves the Evaluation Process for the Indigenous Content Requirement. Discussion took place regarding the following: How to define what will be taught across the curriculum Importance of indigenous content Distinction between open and restricted courses Learner outcomes It was noted that the Indigenous Content Requirement does not take effect until and is not applicable to students who have been previously registered in programs prior to the effective start date. The proposed process would be used determine whether courses satisfy the Indigenous Content Requirement approved by Senate in May As well, the courses deemed compliant will be designated as Type E courses. The Chair called the question MOVED (D. Ivison/T. Randall) that Senate approves the revised Joint Sub- Committee of the Senate Academic Committee and the Ogimaawin-Aboriginal Governance Council Terms of Reference MOVED (D. Ivison/D. Jobin-Bevans) that the Senate Academic Committee Report Part 2 be accepted. 11. Approval of Adjunct Professors 11.1 MOVED (D. Barnett/B. Dadgostar) that the following Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Engineering be approved: Dr. Majid OstadRahimi as an External Adjunct Professor to the Department of Electrical Engineering for the term July 1, 2015 through June 30, LUSU Recommendations for Committee Appointments MOVED (C. Fraser/P. Berger) that Mr. Matt Quick be appointed as the Student Senator on the Senate Executive Committee for the term commencing immediately to June 30, 2015.

Acclaimed Faculty Senators Nominations were accepted for Faculty Senator vacancies. The following Faculty Senators were acclaimed: Dr. Ti King for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 Dr. Gautam Das for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 Dr. Isabelle Lemee for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 Dr. Murari Roy for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 An election is currently being conducted to elect the Faculty Senator for the term commencing immediately to June 30, Three eligible nominations were received for this vacancy and the candidate with the highest number of votes will be presented at the Senate meeting of April 13, President s Report The President s Report was posted to the Senate website. Provost & Vice-President (Academic) Report The Provost & Vice-President (Academic) Report was posted to the Senate website.

Dr. Hill noted that the COU is currently engaged in a search process for a new President and CEO and that she is the Academic Colleague on the search committee. 18.
