My position resides in Research and Instructional Services, where I participate in reference and instruction and oversee collection development for Religious Studies and Philosophy. In July 2015 I became Collections Coordinator, and I sit on the Acquisitions Working Group for the University of Nebraska s Consortium of Libraries. From September 2008 to March 2013, I served as Director of Collections and supervised four librarians and ten staff in University Archives, Special Collections, Acquisitions, Cataloging, Serials, and Government Documents. Helped researchers use CD-ROM databases and Internet resources. Met with classes to instruct students in effective library research techniques. Created instructional handouts. Coordinated maintenance of the reference collection. Supervised collection development for Sociology, Gerontology, Social Work, Psychology, and Black Studies. Government Documents Librarian/Senior Assistant Librarian University Library July 1991-June 1992 California State University Fullerton, CA Offered reference assistance for governmental printed, microform, and CD-ROM documents. Provided instruction to classes about research using government publications. Oversaw collection management for international documents as well as library collections in History, Political Science, and Criminal Justice.
