8 What to Expect in a Course A whopping Time Commitment Community of learners from different backgrounds A space of decolonization & self- realization Society of American Indian Graduate Students Film Screenings Academic Journal Meetings Presenting research: PFAS, Night of Talk Conferences: NAISA How to Apply for the Certificate/ Master s Program l Bachelor s Degree and 3.0 G.P.A. are Required l A GRE Exam/Letters of Recommendation are not Required l Note: 3 Letter of Recommendation are req d for MA Program l Rolling Admission, apply anytime, but give us 4 weeks to process the application l Application is fully online (one- time $60 fee) l Can log in/out of the app, so no need to finish it all in one sitting l 6 years to complete the 12 credits from the semester you start. 8
9 Required Documents for the App l Online application ( one- time $60 fee) l Original, Certified (and sealed) Transcripts l Requested to be sent from the institution directly the Dept. l Attn: Francesca Pine l Personal Statement/Statement of Purpose l Two Academic Writing Samples, that demonstrate research capabilities l CV or Resume l All documents can be uploaded directly into the app. Master s Degree in Native American Studies l Thesis (31 credits) or Professional Paper (30 credits) options l Low- Residency, only need to be on- campus for two semesters, for three required courses, the remaining credits can be done at- distance l With the credits from the certificate, you are nearly half- done! l Graduate Teaching Assistant Positions available! l Approx. $5,120/semester, help with NASX 105 Certificate à Master s is Easy! l You have already put in your application!
