4 RECENT SFL HAPPENINGS Ethan Pritchard and Yusuf Mahmood, Campus Coordinators at the University of Maryland at College Park have made headlines (again!) for their growing presence on campus. Two University of Maryland student groups want to create a Libertarian presence on campus Senior Ethan Pritchard, Students For Liberty president, said his organization and YAL try to bring speakers to meetings, diversify attendees and foster constructive conversations. Members are encouraged to disagree with one another, Pritchard said, and at a couple meetings this year, Pritchard thinks there were more Socialists than Libertarians. The groups also hope to host a Free Speech Celebration in the spring and have a variety of clubs pledge to bring some members to the event, allowing them access to the stage and the audience, Prichard said. This will foster a diverse audience, he added. One of the things I hate [is] we put on a lot of events and the only people who come to them are Libertarians and they re not even the ones that need to be hearing this message, Pritchard said. We feel that since Libertarians are such a minority [we] kind of need to work with whoever we can, he said.

5 At Ohio State University in November, twins Reese and Reagan Brooks, both SFL campus coordinators, reacted immediately to the tragedy on campus that shocked many across the nation. A madman used his car as a weapon on campus, driving into a crowd, and proceeding to stab people with a knife. A dozen people were injured. It has since been classified as terrorism. The Brooks brothers showed their solidarity with victims in a widely-circulated Facebook post (see the image below) American and Don t Tread On Me flags in tow. Then the next day, despite the chaos on campus and the uncertainty of security, they held an event with over 100 people to debate immigration policy with experts from the Cato Institute. Many people were introduced to libertarian ideas for the first time. It was a huge success. We want to empower thousands more leaders to run events and make an impact on campus like Reese and Reagan. But we re going to need your help to get there.

6 FY16 FINANCIAL INFORMATION Over the past year, SFL increased our revenue by more than $500,000 compared to the previous year while constraining expenses to comparable levels. SFL maintains a strong financial position with over $1.1 million in net assets at the end of the Fiscal Year. A growing donor base, increasing commitments from existing supporters, and efficiency improvements, position SFL prudently for future growth and fiscal health.
