4 4 RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Visiting Assistant Professor at Bates College Traveled to Jordan and conducted interviews with members of the Jordanian sextrafficking police unit, NGOs that deal with Syrian refugees, supervisors of female refugees in an assistance center, the supervising members of the human rights bureau at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to write a comparative chapter in book manuscript The Legal Limbo of Survivors of Sex Trafficking: The Syrian-Lebanese Context Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Women s Studies in the Arab World 2017 at the Lebanese American University of Beirut Conduct interviews with members of a sex-trafficking ring released from prison, members of General and Internal Security Forces, lawyers, judges, investigative journalists, and Non-Governmental Organizations to collect data for book manuscript The Legal Limbo of Survivors of Sex Trafficking: The Syrian- Lebanese Context Visiting Research Scholar at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University Develop policy brief Islamists in Power and Women s Rights: The Case of Tunisia Gather archival data and develop book manuscript The Legal Limbo of Survivors of Sex Trafficking: The Syrian-Lebanese Context Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD Translated Rio+20 speeches from Arabic to English for 2013 Dr. Jennifer Hadden Developed a dataset on interstate wars, civil wars, and territorial disputes with Dr. Paul Huth Performed content analysis on American presidential speeches for 2011 Dr. Sarah Croco SKILLS Survey Design and quantitative data analysis.
