2 HOFFA CORRUPTION HOFFA COR New Corruption The Independent Investigations Officer has launched a major new corruption probe into Hoffa for labor racketeering including taking gifts and payoffs in exchange for rigging the bidding process for business with Teamster benefit funds. 1 The corruption trail leads straight to Hoffa and his inner circle, including Hoffa s son, a top running mate, and Hoffa s Chief of Staff. PAY FOR PLAY Anti-corruption officers say investment firm owner and insurance broker Charles Bertucio bought access to Hoffa and top Teamster officials with golf trips to Europe, tickets to NBA Finals games and other payoffs. Bertucio took Hoffa on two European golf junkets along with Hoffa s Chief of Staff Willie Smith and Hoffa-Hall campaign spokesman Richard Leebove. 3 In exchange, Hoffa officials helped Bertucio land business from Teamster benefit funds including rigging the process when Bertucio submitted a substandard bid. 2 HOFFA CORRUPTION HOFFA COR Clean Out the Corruption
3 RUPTION HOFFA CORRUPTION Probe Hits Hoffa Cushy Job for Hoffa s Son Under oath, Bertucio admitted to hiring Hoffa s son Geoffrey Hoffa to grease his way to more Benefit Fund business from the Teamsters. 4 Hoffa VP Under Criminal Probe Hoffa VP Rome Aloise negotiated a sham contract to make Bertucio a Teamster. The phony contract gave Bertucio access to Teamster conferences where he could cut deals with Teamster Health Fund trustees. 3 Aloise faces corruption charges and a federal criminal investigation. Hoffa Chief of Staff Gets Perks, Members Get Sold Out Hoffa's Chief of Staff was given tickets to the Playboy party at the Super Bowl from liquor distributor bosses as a thank you for contract concessions at Southern Wine & Spirits. 3 When corruption officers investigated the Hoffa pay-for-play golf junkets, Smith tried to cover it up by falsifying records and back-dating checks. A federal court is now involved Independent Investigations Officer s Application for the Issuance of Subpoenas, USA v International Brotherhood of Teamsters, 88 Civ August 29, Declaration of Support of the Independent Investigations Officer s Application for the Issuance of Subpoenas, USA v International Brotherhood of Teamsters, 88 Civ August 29, Independent Review Board Charges against Rome Aloise, February. 10, Sworn deposition of Charles Bertucio; October 13, 2015 RUPTION HOFFA CORRUPTION Hoffa is trying to stonewall the corruption probe until after the election. Clean up the corruption now by voting slate.
