The JCMS is the main English language academic journal on political and economic integration in Europe, whilst UACES is the U.K. professional organisation for European Union specialists. The Annual Review appears as an extra (fifth) issue of the Journal and as a self-standing book. d) Chair of the Editorial Board of the Centre for Small State Studies (CSSS) working and occasional papers series, Board member since The CSSS, which has its

Awarded by the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES), DIRECTORSHIPS 1) Co-director January 2002-April 2005 of the Transatlantic Consortium for European Union Studies and Simulations (TACEUSS). TACEUSS brings together almost thirty universities in the US and Europe to engage in a number of EU-related activities. At the heart of TACEUSS s work is the holding of an annual simulation on an EU issue in which around 200 students participate. Running alongside the simulation is a faculty research workshop. The location of the simulation alternates between a European site and an American site. 2) Academic Director since September 2004 of the Institute of European Union Studies of the State University of New York (SUNY). The Institute is a partnership between SUNY Office of International Programs (Albany) and SUNY universities and colleges. Amongst its activities the Institute arranges and manages in-service training for (US) schoolteachers, an annual transatlantic EU simulation, and online courses on the EU. 3) Associate Director of the Manchester Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence. The Centre is a partnership between Manchester University, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Salford University, plus regional stakeholders in the private and public sectors. The title Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is conferred by the European Commission on a competitive basis. The Centre sponsors and organises a number of activities, including lectures, seminars and workshops.
