2019 Quest programme
What is a Quest? A Quest offers a mix of memorable, on-the-ground activities and meetings with exceptional leaders. People who are tackling some of the toughest problems facing the world today. Our immersive programmes deliver an exhilarating life experience. The spirit is open, trusting and supportive. We visit social enterprises, global brand names, revolutionary start-ups and buzzing communities. We combine these visits with daily reflection sessions, to dig deep into our roles and opportunities as individuals. Out of these shared reflections come insights about the wider context - and what we can achieve in it. Participants come from all levels of all sectors - multinational firms, NGOs, entrepreneurs, investors and grassroots organisers, government, the arts and academia. Each of them shares an ambition to enhance their impact.
Why join? We know that studying global complexity isn't enough. We need to really experience it, with our intellect and our emotion. To learn something we can't unlearn. A Quest stimulates all the senses. It's a powerful way to understand how the world's changing, broaden perspectives and forge relationships that last. You'll be part of an exceptional group of people, from all sectors and geographies, who are all looking to mirror remarkable leadership in their own behaviour - personally and in the workplace. We'll explore different viewpoints through thought-provoking experiences and frank conversations. To reflect on what it takes to achieve personal breakthroughs and lead in turbulent times.
2019 calendar Exploring the balance: Life and history in Israel and Palestine (18-23 May 2019) Associated with age-old conflict, Israel and Palestine are also home to leaders healing divides with tenacity and compassion, amidst a cultural landscape of incredible richness and diversity. A chance to challenge our preconceptions about others - and ourselves - and consider the subtle complexities of life and history; identity and connection. r New leadership for changing times: Globalisation and tradition in Mexico (02-05 October 2019) Mexico is riding a populist wave at a time when tensions with its US neighbour have put decades of fragile diplomacy under the spotlight. A country of manufacturing success and informal, cash-driven markets, it embodies complex narratives: future trends vs family traditions, globalisation vs national identity.

FAQs Safety and well-being. We place the highest priority on the security of our participants ) and monitor the situation on the ground closely. We will adapt our itinerary if required. We have built deep relationships with local communities in both Quest locations (and have worked in Israel and Palestine for over ten years). Our presence is always invited and supported by community leadership. How many people will be on the Quest? People join by invitation only ) and we generally limit group size to around 20. Can I attend part of the programmme only? As Quests are integrated programmes (and our hosts will have prepared thoroughly to meet us) participants need to attend in full. However ) there will be breaks each day to allow for s etc. What are the hotel, meal and ground transport arrangements? We ) II stay in comfortable ) well-equipped hotels and we ) II eat in local restaurants ) sometimes joined by guests. Transport will be by minibus. Who is Leaders' Quest? Leaders' Quest ( is a social enterprise with 17 years' experience creating immersive programmes to help leaders explore critical global issues. We have worked with many global companies, as well as academic, governmental and non-profit institutions

History and conflict We'll examine the intricate balancing act between Israel and Palestine, their neighbours and the broader international community. This is a story of deeply rooted beliefs, shifting geopolitical allegiances, intangibles and absolutes. What's the interplay between alienation and assimilation, democracy and autocracy? Is a two-state solution attainable - or ii lusory? At a time when 'new normal' politics are on the ascendant, what does the future hold for this extraordinary region?
Practicalities Timings The programme starts in Jerusalem (a one hour drive from Tel Aviv airport) at 12 noon on Saturday 18 May and ends in Tel Aviv at 5 pm on Thursday 23 May Locations We'll be based in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with day trips to neighboring places, including the West Bank. Program cost 7,000 G BP/ $9,000 USD per participant. All inclusive with the exception of flights to and from Tel Aviv and airport transfers. We offer some subsidised and scholarship places for leaders of non-profits. Please let us know if this is of interest to you. To find out more about joining our Israel Palestine Quest, please contact jade.phillips@leadersquest.org.
New leadership for changing times: globalisation and tradition Mexico Quest October 2019
Why Mexico? Mexico is riding a populist wave at a time when tensions with its US neighbour have put decades of fragile diplomacy under the spotlight. Against the backdrop of NAFTA, there are regional implications for agriculture, auto manufacturing, trade tariffs, urban development, migration and the drugs war. A newly elected left-leaning president (known as AMLO) has taken the reins. Previously Mayor of Mexico City, his ambitious vision includes raising welfare, and tackling rampant corruption, poverty and weak infrastructure. So far AMLO's victory has boosted inward investment. Mexico is bucking the trend of other emerging markets and Mexico City - accounting for 17% of national GDP - is enjoying a cultural renaissance. A country of manufacturing success and informal, cash-driven markets, Mexico embodies complex narratives: future trends vs family traditions, globalisation vs national identity.
Practicalities Timings The programme starts at 2 pm on Wednesday 02 October and ends at 5 pm on Saturday 05 October Locations We'll be based in Mexico City, with day trips to some of the fascinating points of interest in the capital's outlying districts. Program cost $6,500 USD / 5,000 G BP per participant. All inclusive, with the exception of flights to and from Mexico City and airport transfers. We offer some subsidised and scholarship places for leaders of nonprofits. Please let us know if this is of interest to you. To find out more about joining our Mexico Quest, please contact jade.phi 11 i ps@i eadersq u est.o rg.
