1 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SARPY COUNTY, NEBRASKA RESOLUTION AMENDING INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES WITH THE CITIES OF BELLEVUE, LAVISTA, PAPILLION, SPRINGFIELD AND GRETNA WHEREAS, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat (6) (Reissue 2007), the County has the power to do all acts in relation to the concerns of the County necessary to the exercise of its corporate powers; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat (Reissue 2007), the powers of the County as a body are exercised by the County Board; and, WHEREAS, The Cities of Bellevue, LaVista, Papillion, Springfield and Grenta, Nebraska have previously entered into lnterlocal Cooperation Agreement approved by the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners pursuant to the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, Neb. Rev. Stat to 827 (Reissue 2007), by which Sarpy County would provide animal control services within the city limits of the aforementioned cities and said agreement is in the best interest of the citizens of Sarpy County; and, WHEREAS; it is in the best interest of the citizens of Sarpy County to amend said lnterlocal Cooperation Agreement by extending the term of said agreement through October 31,2021 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners that the attached Addendums are approved and the Chairman of such Board is hereby authorized to sign the same. The above resolution was approved by a vote of the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners at a public meeting duly held in accordance with applicable law on the 1.3~ day of December, ~~ '((A0wV Sarpy L~airman
2 '/ ADDENDUM TO INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT THIS ADDENDUM is made by and between the County of Sarpy, of the State of Nebraska, a Body Politic and Corporate, hereinafter referred to as "County", and the City of Bellevue, Nebraska, hereinafter referred to as "City". WHEREAS, the parties have previously entered into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement approved by the Sarpy County Board of Commissioners on January 11, 2005 pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Neb. Rev. Stat to 827 (Reissue 2007), by which Sarpy County would provide animal control services within the city limits of the aforementioned City; and; WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of both parties to extend the term of said Agreement, and; WHEREAS, County and City desire to amend the terms of the previous Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed by and between the parties: I II III IV V The prior Interlocal Agreement between the parties, the same as signed by the County on January 11, 2005-is hereby amended by the terms of this Addendum. Section I A.: Delete "... or of the Omaha Metropolitan Area Planning Agency." and insert, "... as found at or successor websites." Section I. A.: After "... due before November 15, 2004." insert, "If City does not agree with the population estimates set forth by the Bureau of Census, City may submit alternative population figures based on reliable supporting documentation. City and County will agree upon alternative population figures to be used for the preceding five years and a refund or additional billing will be made to City, as applicable, based on the agreed upon alternative ~opulation figures. The documentation for the period November 1, 2011 to October 31,2016 should be submitted between August 1, 2016 and August 31,2016. The documentation for the period November l, 2016 to October 31, 2021 should be submitted between August 1, 2021 and August 31, Section V: Delete "... two years commencing November 1, 2004." and insert "ten years commencing November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2021." The remaining terms and conditions of said prior Agreement shall remain unchanged.

A federal immigration verification system means the electronic verification of the work authorization program authorized by the Illegal Immigration Reform and immigrant
13 Responsibility Act of 1996, 8 U.S.C. 1324a, known as thee-verify Program, or an equivalent federal program designated by the United States Department of Homeland Security or other federal agency authorized to verify the work eligibility status of a newly hired employee. VI The remaining terms and conditions of said prior Agreement shall remain unchanged.
