1 INSTRUCTION SHEET 1. Place left upright and right upright with hooks facing down to the ground. (Ref Picture #1) 2. Take cross member pieces and hinge together and straighten out. (Ref Pictures #2a and #2b) 3. Place cross members in between uprights with the fixed side on the left and the two holes facing up (Ref Picture #3) 4. Take either cross member and insert the left side into the bottom upright, align the holes and insert set screw and then tighten. Do the same with the top left side. (Ref Picture #4) 5. Repeat step four to the opposite side. 6a.Take the top piece of the assembled rack and hold above bed pockets(holes). Extend right side 0 f the rack, adjust as needed to fit into bed pockets. Once width is correct insert the set screw and tighten to secure.. 6b.Measure the distance between the inside of the front bed pockets, Then deduct 11 inches from the measurement. This will be the length of the c~oss member. 7. Remove the adjusted rack piece from bed pockets, and take to the other piece. adjust both rack pieces to the same length, then insert set screw and tighten. 8. Take bracket pieces and insert into bottom slots from the outside in, with both lips facing up. Then slide brackets all the way to the bottom of the uprights. (Ref Pictures #8a and #8b) 9. Take the assembled rack piece to the front of the truck bed, you must bend the hinge as needed to fit rack under the lip of the bed rails. Place the hooks on the top lip of the front bed wall and then extend cross member back to the straight position, so the upright will be touching the side bed walls. Now lift the rack until it touches the bottom of the bed rail, leave a 1/4" of an inch gap between the rack and the lip of the bed. 10.Be sure the uprights are pushed as far forward as possible against the front bed wall and the hooks are resting on the top of the front bed wall. 11.To install brackets, mark the position of the brackets on both sides of the bed walls. 12.Once the position of the brackets have been marked on the bed walls, bend the hinge and set entire rack in the bed of the truck. 13.Remove brackets from the rack, place the brackets back on the marked positions on the bed wall. Using the supplied hardware, mount the brackets to the bed walls. 14.To place the rack into the stored position, make sure that the hooks on the front piece of the rack (which will be the top piece when in stored position) are sitting on the top of the front lip of the truck bed. Now slide the right side of the upright into the bracket that you just have mounted. Now repeat for the left side of the rack upright. The hinge should now be extended straight, not bent. 15.Tostore the rear piece ofthe rack, make sure the hinge is bent. Take it to the front of the bed and slide the right side of the upright underneath the top piece and slide into the bracket. Now repeat for the left side of the upright. The hinge of the rack should now be extended straight, not bent. (minor adjustments may be need to be done to the brackets for both rack pieces to fit). 16.To lock rack Into bed of truck, a padlock or pin can be placed in the hole located to the left of the hinge on the bottom rack piece when in the stored position. cross member must be fully extended to allow padlock or pin to be inserted. ".

Cut rubber strips to the required length to fill the remaining space. These Rubber spacers are for Dodge GMC or Chevy Only! Slide Rack firmly against the truck pocket. (Bracket Side) CAUTION: When drilling with longer drill bit you could damage the outer body of the vehicle.

4 CD * Important Notes: 1. When rack is in use, pins or tie downs are necessary to secure rack into bed pockets (Failure to secure rack may cause injury or death). 2. Process necessary for installing pins to be able to secure uprights into bed pockets. a.slide the upright all the way down into the pocket. make sure the upright is straight. Then measure 71/4" inches from the top of the side bracket strip down to the bed wall.(mark measurement on the bed wall). b. you must drill a 5/16" inch hole all the way through the inside pocket of the bed, so when the pin is inserted it lies between the upright and the side bracket. Be sure you not to drill through the outside body of the truck. 3. Make sure load is securely fastened. " 4. Depending on make and model, rear rack piece may need to be adjusted in order to put rack in stored position in the bed of the truck. 5. Rack pieces that come taped together in the box will need to be assembled together

5 WARNING! 1. It is very important that you make periodic inspections of the set screw that are holding the ZRak together. The set screws may loosen with the movement of the vehicle. 2. The ZRak has been tested with 800 lbs of load evenly distributed under normal driving conditions. 3. ZRak cannot control the environment, driving habits or the construction of the truck bed pockets in which the ZRak is used; please use good judgment when placing any load on the ZRak. 4. Load must be placed directly on the top of the ZRak only. Do not tie anything to the sides of the ZRak or apply any pressure whatsoever to the sides of the ZRak. 5. Load must be distributed evenly on top of the ZRak. 6. Do not use rack for any purpose other than placement of loads on top of the ZRak. 7. It may be dangerous to attempt to transport oversized loads of any weight. Use reasonable judgment when attempting to carry loads that extend out pas.~the ZRak and/or past the bed of the truck. Local laws may vary regarding the definition of oversized loads. For the purposes of the ZRak, an oversized load is defined as any load that extends beyond the surface of the rack. 8. You must use the pin provided to lock the hinge i~ place during load transportation.

6 This writing is the final, complete, and exclusive expression of the parties' agreement. Any statements made by seller's agent that differ /Tom the terms of this agreement shall have no effi:ct. This Product is subject to terms and conditions set out in the assembly instructions, contract, release note, and/or other enclosed documents. No use may be made of this Product other than that set forth in the enclosed documents. The warranty described in this agreement is in lieu of all other warranties. THE PARTIES AGREE TIIA T THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS AGREEMENT. Use of the Product for thirty (30) days or more, or failure to give written notice to seller or fuilure to return the Product as herein specified shall operate as an acceptance of it and a fulfillment of this warranty. Buyer agrees that retention or possession for more than thirty (30) days after first day's use of such machinery purchased shall be construed as conclusive evidence that the warranty has been fulfilled and that seller will be released /Tom all further warranty, except as to defuctive parts. Retention of the machinery thirty (30) days after its arrival at destination shall be conclusive admission that the Product is in every respect as represented and warranted, and such acceptance shall release seller &om any and all claims ror damage and loss sustained by buyer on account of any representation or warranty in sale of the Product If seller shall, at the request of buyer, render assistance of any kind in installing/operating the Product, or any part of it, or in remedying any defucts at any time, the assistance shall in no case be deemed an acknowledgment on seller's part of a breach by it of this warranty, or excuse for any fuiiure of buyer to fully keep and perform the conditions of this warranty. r If for any reason quality is claimed not as sold, matters shall be submitted to arbitration in the usual way pursuant to the laws of the State of California and shall be construed in accordance with the same. All disputes arising under or connected to the sale and purchase of the Product shall, upon demand of either party, be submitted ror final resolution to and under the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any such arbitration shall be conducted in the City of Los Angeles, Calirornia, and judgment upon the award of the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Los Angeles County shall have venue of any suit or proceeding. This agreement shall be divisible as to each Product and attachment ror which a separate price is named, and the fuilure of any article to fulfill the warranty shall not affi:ct the liability of purchaser ror any other article ordered. This warranty shall continue for the period of one (1) year. Retention of the Product mentioned in this warranty after thirty (30) days &om date of shipment shall constitute a trial and acceptance and be a conclusive admission of the truth of all representations made by or for seller and void all its contracts of warranty, express or implied. Seller shall in no event be liable ror breach of warranty in an amount exceeding the purchase price of the Product. If anything is round which is broken, defective, or not as specified, notice shall be given in writing to seller within thirty (30) days after Product is received by purchaser so that seller may correct same, and in the absence of such notice no claims for such defucts or the like shall be allowed by seller. Seller guarantees Product shall be as represented in this agreement, and of good material and workmanship and will do good work when properly set down and operated. And buyer agrees to test the same within ten

7 (10) day.;after received, and i( upon trial, machinery should not prove as represented, buyer agrees to give immediate written notice to seller and to allow seller a reasonable length of time, after having received written notice, to send a replacement Product or servicer to adjust machinery, purchaser agreeing at the time to give full cooperation, together with the necessary help. Use of the Product, without giving the written notice as provided in this agreement, shall be deemed and construed as an acceptance of same and conclusive evidence that the property is as represented. Buyer shall notifyseller by wire where possible or notify seller's local representative within furty-eight (48) hours after shipment has been placed where inspection is practicable, of refusal to accept a shipment or intent to file claim and give reasons (other than claim against the transportation company). Failure of such notice shall constituteacceptance. We guarantee that the equipment furnished by us will be capable of performing the work fur which it is designed, provided )Qur operating personnel abide by the instructions given at the time of delivery and make such minor adjustments as may be required during initial use of the Product. We further agree that fur a period of one (I) year after the date of delivery, we will repair or replace, at our option, any part that proves to be defective in material or workmanship. Buyer shall not be entitled to rely upon any breach of above warranty or to rescind this contract or to any claim or set-off against seller because of any breach unless: (a) notice of the defect of breach particularly describing tile same and specifyingthe time of the discovery of the same is given by registered letter, addressed to seller at its head office, posted within ten (10) days after such discovery; (b) such defect or breach appears within five (5) day.; after the first use of the goods; (c) seller fuils to remedy the defect or breach by substitution of parts or otherwise within a reasonable time after receipt of such notice, which substitution it shall have the right to make. Buyer shall render necessary and fiiendly assistance to seijerin and about remedying the defect. If seller fuils to remedy the defect, buyer shall have the right immediately to return the defective goods or parts in as good condition as when received to the place ftom which they were received and shall give seller immediate written notice of such retuni by registered letter addressed and mailed to seller at its head office. The money paid and security given by purchaser on account of the purchase price of the goods returned shall be promptly returned by seller, and seller shall be released ftom all further claims. Failure to so return the goods or to give the above notices shall be taken as conclusive evidence that the warranty is satisfied.-when at the request of buyer some person is sent to remedy or repair the Product and the same is found to have been carelessly or improperly handled, the expense incurred by seiler in putting it in working order shall be paid by buyer. No attempt by seller or its representatives to remedy any defects shall constitute a waiver of any of the provisions of this agreement, and, if a mechanical expert visits the Product and does not leave it working properly, buyer shall give immediate notice in writing or by prepaid telegram to seijer at its head office, stating specificallythe fuilureor neglect complained oj: No claim of breach of warranty or that quality of goods is not in accordance with contract shall constitute a cause fur cancellationof this contract or any part of it. If the Product, or any part of it, shall fuil to fill this warranty, written notice shall be given to seijer at 1158C Thompson Ave., Glendale, CA 91201, and to the party through whom the Product was purchased, stating how it mils to fill the warranty. Time, opportunity, and fiiendly assistance shall be given to reach the Product and remedy any defects. If the defuctive machinery cannot then be made to fill the warranty, it shall be returned to the seller at the place where received, and another furnished on the same terms of the warranty, or money and notes to the amount represented by the detective machinery shall be returned, and. no furtherclaim made on seller.
