Case 3:10-cv BR CONSENT MOTION TO EXTEND BRIEFING DEADLINES EXPEDITED PROCESSING REQUESTED The undersigned Plaintiffs counsel respectfully move, with all parties consent, to extend by two weeks the deadline for filing briefs in response to Defendants cross-motions for summary judgment, currently July 24, 2015, and by three weeks the deadline for Defendants to file reply briefs in support of their cross-motions for summary judgment, currently September 2, See Minute Order, ECF No The Court has set oral argument on the parties motions for October 19, See Minute Order, ECF No A two-week extension of Plaintiffs briefing deadlines is necessary because, as the Court is aware, the Department of Justice filed a complaint on July 20, 2015 seeking to revoke the naturalization of Mohamed Sheikh Abdirahman Kariye, a plaintiff in this case. See Case No. 3:15-cv SI (D. Or. July 20, 2015). Certain allegations made in the denaturalization action appear to overlap with issues raised in this case, and the denaturalization action has potentially significant implications for Imam Kariye in this matter. Because counsel for Imam Kariye (and four other Plaintiffs) need time to confer with him, coordinate with his counsel in the denaturalization action, and assess its impact on this matter before submitting what may be his final briefing on the parties motions for partial summary judgment, good cause exists for a twoweek extension of the remaining deadlines on his motion. 4 Case 3:10-cv BR Document 262 Filed 07/23/15 Page 4 of 7 is discussed in the consolidated brief, and because the government s disclosures in his case are relevant to the secrecy issues in dispute as to the other Plaintiffs, good cause exists for a twoweek extension of the briefing deadline for the other Plaintiffs as well. Defendants consent to this motion on the condition that their reply deadline be extended by an additional week, in addition to the two-weeks Plaintiffs seek through this motion, in order to accommodate work and travel commitments made in reliance on the current reply deadline. Undersigned Plaintiffs counsel therefore respectfully request that the Court extend the remaining briefing deadlines as follows: August 7, 2015: Plaintiffs Memoranda in Opposition to Defendants Combined and Plaintiff-Specific Cross-Motions for Summary Judgment; Plaintiffs Reply Memoranda in Support of their Combined and Plaintiff-Specific Motions for Summary Judgment; September 23, 2015: Defendants Reply Memoranda in Support of their Combined and Plaintiff-Specific Cross-Motions for Summary Judgment.
