1 ThUrSDAY, DECEMBER 27 Youth Leader Info We will meet first at: Solid Rock Baptist Church 420 S. White Horse Pike Berlin, NJ 08009
2 Evening Schedule 5:00pm 5:30pm Opening Rally Bible Quiz 8:30-11:30pm International Sports Center 8:30-12:30pm Altitude Trampoline Park 11:30-3:00am Skate Zone Ice Skating 12:00-3:30am 30 Strikes Bowling 3:30am Dismissal from Bowling Alley Each event will be entirely for our group Most of you are familiar with our philosophy. Young Ambassadors for Christ is for saved church kids, and is not an evangelistic outreach. Our purpose is to have separated camps and activities for our youth groups. Omni Nite is an activity that teenagers love. Because of this, many outside kids and friends of our teenagers will try to attend. Please be considerate of the other church groups, and do not allow these teenagers to attend. I know it is sometimes difficult, but if every group brings just a few, we develop a considerable amount of the worldly element that we are not looking for at this activity. The activity is for 7th through 12th graders. Also, any young singles or YAFC alumni are more than welcome to attend. The cost is $25 per person. This includes all activities and food. There will be no additional charges or offerings taken. The venues offer snack shops for those who are interested. Everyone attending will need to pay the $22 fee, even if they are not participating in all of the activities. Please take care of collecting your group s money ahead of time, so we can take care of finances quickly. Please download and copy the flyer and consent forms for your teens. These forms are also available on our website. The Bible quiz is on I Samuel 9. Please have your young men bring as much hockey equipment as possible (skates, helmets, sticks, etc.) Helmets are mandatory for playing hockey. Also, teens should bring their own roller skates/roller blades and ice skates if they have them. Please remember that every person must have a waiver form, available on our website and in this information packet, signed by their parents in order to go ice-skating! Consent Forms Required Young Ambassador for Christ Permission Form Skate Zone Waiver Altitude Trampoline Park Waiver *Each participant must have their forms completed to participate*
3 The goal of Young Ambassadors for Christ is to honor the Lord. Our standards are based upon Biblical principles for modesty. We do not believe that just having outward standards will produce a spiritual heart, but standards are important. We want to be the best we can be for God! Everyone following the standards helps to promote an atmosphere of holiness and modesty that pleases the Lord and encourages spiritual growth. Thank you for your spirit and cooperation in this matter. Men's Dress Code Casual clothing is appropriate. Look sharp. No earrings or necklaces. No shirts with inappropriate pictures or words. No excessively baggy or excessively tight clothes may be worn. Modest, masculine, Christian clothing only, please. Ladies' Dress Code Casual clothing is appropriate. Look pretty and feminine. Please wear a modest skirt or culottes that extend to the bottom of the knee. No pants, shorts, or tight skirts are to be worn. No tight or low-cut tops, or shirts with inappropriate pictures or words may be worn. Modest, feminine, Christian clothing only, please. This year we are encouraging ladies to wear cullottes for the duration of the night primarly for the Trampoline Park (Altitude). If you have any additional questions: Justin.barnette@solidrockbaptist.org I Samuel 9 Only teenagers may participate in the Bible quiz. College-age young people are not allowed to compete. A team will consist of three teenagers on the platform at the same time, with as many alternates as you wish. A team member "quizzes out" after giving 3 correct answers, and then must sit down. At that time, an alternate may replace the original team member. 10 points will be awarded for the correct answer. 5 points will be deducted for an incorrect answer. Answering Questions 1. A team member may stand at any time while the question is being asked. 2. The judges decide who has stood first. 3. After standing, the team member must attempt to answer the question. 4. If the answer is incorrect, the moderator will finish reading the question, and the other teams may attempt to answer. 5. The Regional Young Ambassadors for Christ trophy will be awarded to the winning team, and their name will be engraved.
