To deploy four expert staff and a Senior Protection Officer to provide resettlement processing and referral assistance to Syrian refugees in Turkey and Jordan. To open a legal office in Athens that will help support refuges when they come to the city for interviews. This office also allows HIAS to strengthen its relationships with embassies within the EU which allow them to better advocate for refugees seeking family reunification. At the center refugees receive Hungarian language instruction, social services and educational services for children. This grant will also fund integration assistance services to refugees in the nearby city of Győr. To improve the educational and mentoring resources available both to displaced Syrian children as well as Jordanian children attending schools which have been severely strained by the influx of Syrian students.
