3 PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT ON THE SUPPORT TO IOTIC (INDIAN OCEAN TSUNAMI INFORMATION CENTRE) PROGRAM ON will support the implementation of the programme and activities of IOTIC (Direct Contribution), through its programme budget (Approximately USD annually for Five years) will also provide in kind contribution in the form of Staffing and Office Logistic for the periode

5 IOTIC ACHIEVEMENTS Pre-Event of Preserving Flores Tsunami 1992 For Future Preparedness Collecting Data, Information, and documentation regarding to the Flores Tsunami 1992 in Maumere from Local Government and Local Disaster Management Office Collecting the profile of Flores Tsunami 1992 eyewitnesses along the impacting area The final result of the activities is to provide a book of Preserving past tsunami containts of eyewitness testimony of The Flores Tsunami 5
6 IOTIC ACHIEVEMENTS 2017 Contribution on International Tsunami Symposium (ITS) In Bali (21-25 August 2017) Integrated Intersessional Meetings of ICG/ IOTWMS (4-17 September 2017) The meeting has successfully conducted as a standard of ICG/IOTWMS s meeting and resulted some important recommendations with 80 Participant from 19 Indian Ocean Countries Training on Tsunami Evacuation Maps, Plans, and Procedures (TEMPP) (13-24 November 2017) participated by 23 participants from 12 countries of Indian Ocean had been trained for tsunami simulation, Evacuation Map, National SOP, and Public Education both in basic science and practice as a part of DRR Programme 6
7 In 2017 and IOTIC organized regional workshop on Indian Ocean Tsunami Ready community to support the community performance based preparedness to tsunami early warning and response and agreed on 11 Indicators as follows Community performance based preparedness to tsunami early warning and response Indicators (Indian Ocean Tsunami Ready) 1. Community having a Tsunami Risk Reduction Plan 2. Community have designated and mapped tsunami hazard inundation zones 3. There is a public display of tsunami information 4. Availability of easily understood tsunami evacuation maps as determined to be appropriate by local authorities in collaboration with communities 5. Outreach and public education materials available and distributed among the community 6. Community have outreach or educational activities annually 7. Community conduct an annual tsunami community exercise 8. Community address tsunami hazards in the their Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) 9. Community committed to supporting the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) during tsunami incident, if an EOC is open and activated. 10. The Community have redundant and reliable means for a 24-hour warning point (and EOC if activated) to receive official tsunami threats 11. The community have redundant and reliable means for a 24-hour warning point and/or EOC to disseminate official tsunami alerts to the public 7

9 CONTRIBUTION ON 2 ND INTEGRATED MEETING AND TEMPP IN HYDERABAD 2018 Indonesia () take a role on 2ND ICG-IOTWMS Integrated Meeting as task team and working group members 11 participants from Indonesia shared their knowledge regarding to both tsunami modeling and national SOP of NTWC/NDMO, on Training of Tsunami Evacuation Maps, Plans, and Procedures (TEMPP) 9
10 IOWAVE16 AND PACWAVE17 EXERCISES 10
11 IOWAVE 2018 (ON SEPTEMBER) Indonesia () will take apart on the IOWAVE 2018 Exercise, as one of the recommendation resulted from the first integrated meeting in Jakarta. The NTWC, NDMO as well as the tsunami threatened communities of Indonesia will participate on the IOWAVE 2018 Exercise 11
12 WHAT TO DO NEXT. Enhancing capacity building through various activities of training, and scholarship in term of Earthquake and tsunami Disaster Risk Reduction Knowledge sharing program through on the Job training Program. The Oman Job Training in InaTEWS had been successfully conducted as a best practice for NTWC operators of Oman to work and earn experience from InaTEWS. Enhancing LDMO and community preparedness program cooperation through several exercise and workshop. The Earthquake Field School is a good example of LDMO and community preparedness program conducted by which might be facilitated together between and UNESCO Enhancing research activities in term of Earthquake and tsunami Disaster Risk Reduction such as Paleotsunami research. 12
