UK Tier 1 (Investor) Visa INTRODUCTION
The UK Tier 1 Investor Visa One of the fastest and most secure way to obtain UK Permanent Residency. UK Tier 1 (Investor) Visa The UK Government actively encourages investment in the UK, and has created a visa category speci cally for major investors i.e. persons who have substantial funds of their own to invest in the United Kingdom. Investors may bring their dependent family to the UK, take employment and hold directorships. Tier 1 (Investor) Visa Entitlements You can invest 2,000,000 or more in UK government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active and trading UK registered companies. You can also work or study in the UK. The spouse of Tier 1 (Investor) visa holder can work fulltime in the UK. Spouse or any dependent children are entitled for NHS (National Health Services). Also children under the age of 18 can obtain free education in the UK.
Potential migrants applying under the Investor subcategory are not expected to need to work and the English language requirement is waived therefore. No requirements in regards to the investor's education, age, nationality, language pro ciency, or business experience. You need to invest a minimum of 2 million. There is no requirement for how many full time jobs you must create. Further more, if you invest 2 million in UK government bonds, share or loan capital in active and trading UK-registered companies, there is no need to hire any workers. You make your investment after your application is approved. Advantages of the UK Tier 1 Investor Visa The investor, the spouse, and children under the age of 18 are included within the main application. During the residency period, you can travel outside of the UK. You can reside anywhere within the UK. The applicant and spouse is granted full work rights.
The Tier 1 Investor Visa allows business people and their families to live in the UK residents through making a substantial nancial investment in the country. Settlement Route: Initially you will be given permission to stay for up to one month plus three years. How quickly you apply for settlement (also known as Inde nite Leave to Remain) depends on the amount of money you invest in the UK. If you invest: 2 million you may apply for settlement after 5 years. 5 million you may apply for settlement after 3 years. 10 million you may apply for settlement after 2 years. Once you have spent ve years (or six years if you have invested 2 million) in the UK you may apply for British citizenship and a British passport. If you invest 2 million in the UK you must renew your visa after 3 years. You will be given a further grant of leave for 2 years.
UK Tier 1 Investor applicants are extremely wealthy therefore, they do not need to prove an ability to support themselves and their dependents. To qualify to come to the United Kingdom as a Tier 1 (Investor) You need to score 75 points in total in order to be eligible to apply under Tier 1 (Investor) visa: You hold 2 million of your own, under your control, held in a regulated nancial institution and which is disposable in UK. Dependants: Your dependents who have been given permission to accompany you may also take Employment during their stay in the United Kingdom. Your spouse, minor children and, in certain circumstances, other dependent members of your family may apply for UK visas as your dependents.
What you can and can t do Bene ts You can: You can t: invest 2,000,000 or more in UK government bonds, share capital or loan capital in active and trading UK registered companies invest in companies mainly engaged in property investment, property management or property development work as a professional sports person or sports coach You and your dependents may study in the UK should you choose to do so. work or study apply to settle after 2 years if you invest 10 million apply to settle after 3 years if you invest 5 million apply to settle after 5 years if you invest 1 million get public funds You also can t work as a doctor or dentist in training unless one of the following applies: you have a bachelors level degree in medicine or dentistry from a UK institution that holds a Tier 4 sponsor license or is a UK recognised or listed body you worked as a doctor or dentist in training the last time you were in the UK neither of those conditions were part of the terms and conditions on a previous visa For those who have substantial funds available, the Tier 1 (Investor) category is the simplest and most direct way of gaining entry to the United Kingdom. In addition, the category does not restrict employment, consultancy, self-employment or indeed study at a state or private educational establishment. You may take employment and engage in business or self-employment; for example, as a consultant or a director. If you wish to settle in the UK you must spend at least 185 days in the UK each year.
