16 ReadmiOed Migrants and Refugees to Turkey Under EU- Turkey Agreement Since 4 April, 2016 there are 2059 migrants and refugees readmimed to Turkey from Greece. The main exit points in Greece include Lesvos, Chios, Kos and Samos and the main entry points to Turkey include Dikili, Çeşme, Güllük/ Bodrum and Adana. (through the airport). Resedlement of Syrians From Turkey Since April 4, a total number of 11,492 Syrians were resemled to the below men>oned countries according to One- to- One mechanism with the assistancve of IOM.
17 Overview of Migrant Situa2on in Turkey According to the latest available figures from the Turkish Directorate General for Migra>on Management (DGMM) currently there are approximately 3,6 million foreign na>onals present in Turkish territory seeking for the interna>onal protec>on. Most of them are Syrians 3,285,533* who are granted with the temporary protec>on (TP) status, while according to UNHCR another greater group of the foreign na>onals requiring Turkish humanitarian and interna>onal protec>onare 331,487** asylum- seekers and refugees consis>ng of different na>onali>es, but mainly coming from Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia and other countries.
18 IOM presence IOM has recruited field assistants, social workers and interpreters for Çeşme, Küçükkuyu, Bodrum and Dikili who support TCG in distributing food and NFIs to migrants and refugees rescued at sea, conducts recreational activities with migrant and refugee children, identifies migrants with special needs to refer to related institutions/ organizations: IOM staff providing recreational activities to migrant and refugee children as they wait in Çeşme TCG premisses.
19 Provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Migrants and Refugees Rescued at Sea Ø The objective of the project is to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants rescued at sea by Turkish Coast Guard. Ø To date, IOM has provided : v 24 prefabricated cabins, v Fourteen tarpaulin tents(to help shelter rescued migrants and refugees from the winter elements at reception areas), v Outdoor heaters, water dispensers, vertical freezers, plastic chairs (used at the reception areas inside the tents), v Non Food Items as blankets, hygiene kits, clothing, baby diapers, shoes v Food items including foodkits and water to be benefitted by migrants and refugees rescued at sea by TCG
20 Construction of the boats ongoing and first to be delivered by May the latest
21 Flow Monitoring Surveys Flow monitoring surveys to capture additional and more in-depth data on the people on the move, including age, sex, areas of origin, levels of education, key transit points on their route, motives, and intentions. This data has been captured by IOM field staff in Greece, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia since October FMS in Turkey is being conducted in four proivnces for now targeting to represent the main migrant categories in Turkey.
