You could have a decline in population because a percentage of people, leaves the country once and for all to settle in other countries. These people are know as emigrants. Then, you could have an opposite effect; which means that there is an increase in the country s population because there is an influx of citizens from other countries who come in that country with the aim to settle. These people are known as immigrants. 5
