The Republic of Korea and UNDP Partnership for Development Thanks to the generosity of the Republic of Korea, millions of people around the world enjoy better livelihoods, clean energy, democratic elections, greater human rights and gender equality, and more. Support from the Republic of Korea enables UNDP to help nearly 70 countries. In addition to funding, Korean leaders in gnment, business, and academia give their expertise to fulfill the promise of a more prosperous and fair world. Together, the Republic of Korea and UNDP will continue our vital collaboration to end pty and inequality, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Highlights from the Republic of Korea-UNDP Partnership SDG Implementation With support from the Republic of Korea, UNDP advances the Sustainable Development Goals through policy advice and programme support. Helped Helped 72 43 countries align their national priorities with the SDGs Consulted countries monitor and report on SDG progress 0 million citizens worldwide on SDG priorities and progress Peacebuilding UNDP, with support from the Republic of Korea, has helped Iraq stabilize after conflict. Created conditions for 2 million Iraqis to return home,000 projects to restore infrastructure, services and local economies 2.4 million people enjoy improved infrastructure Together with the Republic of Korea, UNDP rebuilds peace in Darfur with Sudanese youth. Youth volunteers trained,800 people on business skills, gender equality, and HIV 8,200 community members granted seed capital to start new businesses 3

Democratic Gnance UNDP, with support from the Republic of Korea, has helped the 207 Presidential and National Parliament elections in Timor-Leste. Supported registration of 760,000 voters, 5% youth 7% increase in youth and first-time voters previous national elections Voter education campaign increased turnout to 77% Gender Equality Together with the Republic of Korea, UNDP addressed gender-based violence (GBV) in Kenya and Bangladesh. Public awareness campaign on GBV reached 90,000 people In Bangladesh, 4,000 GBV victims registered for continuous care for the first time In Kenya, st national human rights study conducted to be used in developing GBV policies Pty Eradication Together with UNDP, the Republic of Korea helped marginalized people in Rwanda to be included in the financial system. Provided financial education to 468 Village Savings and Loan Associations 4 433 new saving clubs were formed in schools 27,957 financially excluded people gained access to finance through public education campaigns

Crisis Response Immediately after the 205 mega-earthquake, the Republic of Korea and UNDP supported reconstruction and recy efforts in Nepal. Supported 0,000 households by restoring infrastructure and providing job opportunities Trained nearly 2,000 civil servants and community leaders on first aid and disaster risk reduction Global Partnership With the support of the Republic of Korea, UNDP and the OECD host the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC), supporting countries in monitoring national progress on the SDGs. Produced 8 country monitoring profiles to strengthen cooperation for developments Advocacy campaign on GPEDC resulted in an 900% increase in followers Partnerships to Promote the SDGs UNDP partners with the Gnment of the Republic of Korea to promote Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals through a range national partners including: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the Ministry of Environment, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Seoul Metropolitan Gnment, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Korea Forest Service & National Institute of Forest Science, Korea Environment Corporation, and the Korea Energy Agency. UNDP works closely with academia and the private sector such as Korea University, Korean National Police University, and IRC. 5
