Present: Tanya Rosenblath, Administrative Assistant to Clerk & Road Supervisor; Royce Rosenblath, Road & Waste Management Supervisor; Bill MacDonald, Liberal Candidate Provincial Election; Bonnie Thompson; Frontenac News CALL TO ORDER Reeve Hogg calls the meeting to order @ 19:00 APPROVAL OF AGENDA Moved by Cox, seconded by Snider that the agenda be approved as circulated. Carried #021/11 ADOPTION OF MINUTES Moved by Yanch, seconded by Snider that the regular Council Minutes of January 4, 2011 be adopted as amended. Carried #022/11 BUSINESS ARISING FROM MINUTES Reeve Hogg reported at the meeting of January 4, 2011 that there were two people interested in the wood at the proposed Firehall/Municipal Building lot along Hwy 41. One offer was received. Moved by Cox, seconded by Yanch that the offer received from J. Shiner, in the amount of $260.00, for the purchase of the wood at the proposed Firehall/Municipal Building lot, be accepted. Carried #023/11...2
ADDINGTON HIGHLANDS COUNCIL MINUTES PAGE 2 of 6 DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTERESTS & THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF DELEGATIONS & PETITIONS Bill MacDonald, Liberal Candidate Provincial Election B. MacDonald is running in the next Provincial Election for our riding. The upcoming election will take place in October 2011. B. MacDonald introduced himself and described some of the qualifications that he has. He has indicated that if elected he will make an effort to visit all Municipal Councils. Bonnie Thompson, Denbigh Homecoming There are plans in the works for a Denbigh Homecoming event July 27-29, 2012. B. Thompson requested the use of Township grounds, rink, school gym & grounds, washrooms and the Denbigh Hall. It was discussed that this organization of friends be responsible for clean-up of the grounds being used. B.Thompson explained briefly that they are going to be contacting different businesses/organizations to become involved in the event. Moved by Yanch, seconded by Fritsch that the Denbigh Homecoming event be supported, in principle, and the Township Properties be made available, at no cost to the individuals organizing the event, with proof of insurance being submitted to Council, if required. Carried #024/11 MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION Blue Box Waste Recycling Strategy Moved by Snider, seconded by Fritsch that; Whereas the Township Council did, pursuant to resolution #411/10, authorize the Clerk to arrange for the engagement of a consultant to prepare a Blue Box Waste Recycling Strategy ( BBWRS ) pursuant to a Continuous Improvement Fund ( CIF ) allocation in 2010; and 3

Carried #026/11 MATTERS FOR INFORMATION Moved by Cox, seconded by Yanch that the information items be received. Carried #027/11 REPORTS OF COMMITTEES & BOARDS Addington Highlands Community Centre Denbigh Moved by Fritsch, seconded by Snider that the Front-Back orientation of the Addington Highlands Community Centre Denbigh be reversed so that the main entrance is on the North Side and the back entrance is on the South Side, with the three (3) East classrooms allocated to the LFHT, and with road entrance adjustments on the North Site involving MTO approval if needed. Carried #028/11 Councillor Fritsch said there is a Community Meeting Scheduled for January 20, 2011 at the Denbigh Hall with a tour of the Addington Highlands Community Centre Denbigh prior to the meeting at the Hall. Carried #030/11 Joint Board of Management (Fire) Reeve Hogg reported that there is a Joint Fire Board Meeting Tuesday January 18, 2011 REPORTS OF OFFICERS ROAD & WASTE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR Royce Rosenblath reports that we lost a long time employee of 20+ years. Councillor Fritsch indicated that they have been thinking of planting a tree (with a plaque) at the Denbigh Heritage Park, in Memory of Mike Kerr. Royce Rosenblath recommends that Cameron Lloyd be offered the position of Lead Hand in Ward 1. Moved by Cox, seconded by Snider that Cameron Lloyd be appointed as the lead hand for Ward 1 Roads Department. Carried #031/11 Councillor Yanch indicated that the Peterson Road sign at the bank in Northbrook is down. R. Rosenblath will contact TWD as this would be a MTO sign. Deputy Reeve Cox questioned the issue of brush along County Road 29. R. Rosenblath indicated that they will trim it back with powersaws when time allows.
