JIM DELANEY MEMORIAL TOP SHOT SHOOT - 2018 Once again the DSC is looking for the best overall shooter. Jim Delaney was the big pusher for this event each year. So this year s Top Shot is named in his honor. This year the event will run from Aug 11 to Sep 30. As usual we will run on the honor system. Top Shot, will encompass seven venues of the DSC. You are not required to have equipment for each event to participate. Equipment will be made available with a $2 fee at each event. Equipment may not be available on each day, check the Top Shot calendar. Entry fee: $10 which covers the banquet (tentative Oct 10 or 11). Range fees vary per venue, see venue sheet for exact fees. Here are the venues and events: ARCHERY 20-arrows at different distances BLACK POWDER 5- rounds rifle + 5-throws tomahawk + 5-throws knife COWBOY ACTION - 10-rounds pistol + 10-rounds rifle in 1 minute PISTOL Bullseye 30-round match - 10-rounds slow fire @ 50-yds. 10-rounds timed @ 25-yds. & 10-rounds rapid fire @ 25-yds. RIFLE - 5-rounds each at 4 silhouette animals @ 50-yds. SPORTING CLAYS one 50-round match. TRAP two 25-round matches. Please note: Archery and Cowboy have the least amount of shooting days, please check the Top Shot calendar. Complete rules, regulations, venue specific courses of fire and calendar will be emailed to the DSC lists, posted on the website and available at all participating venues. Archery Top Shot Schedule and Format Event dates: August 11 th thru September 30th 1. Archery Schedule for Shooting: a. Sunday, August 19 th 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm. b. The round count must equal 100 points Black Powder has scheduled the following days and times for competitors to shoot for score. Cowboy Top Shot 2018 Top shot in 2018 will be offered to club members from August 11 th through September 30 th. Cowboy has scheduled four days in the August/September time frame when competitors can shoot for score. The dates follow; August 11 August 22 September 1 September 8 September 12 September 22 The time the range will be open for top shot will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday and 6:00 pm to dusk on Wednesdays. The course of fire will consist of 5 pistol targets at 7 yards and 5 rifle targets set at 12 yards. The round count must equal 100 points. Two handguns will be loaded with 5 rounds each and one rifle will be loaded with 10 rounds for a total of 20 rounds worth 5 points each. Each target will be engaged with one shot (called a sweep) then each target will be engaged a second time with a second sweep. A missed target will be a loss of 5 points. One minute will be allowed to complete the course of fire. Any ammunition fired or left in a firearm after one minute will be counted as a miss. Competitors can use their own firearms in 22 long rifle or pistol caliber center fire non-magnum cartridges with lead bullets only. If competitors don t have the proper guns the cowboy committee will supply 22 rim fire guns and ammunition. Double action handguns can be used but must be fired single action. Rifles must be lever action or pump action. The cost to fire top shot on the cowboy range will be $10.00 if using club ammo The cost to fire top shot on the cowboy range will be $8.00 if shooter uses his/her won ammo Prepared by Jim Estes Approved by the cowboy committee

Pistol Top Shot 2018 Bullseye Course of Fire Fired at 50 yards and 25 yards with one hand only. Slow Fire : 10 rounds fired in 10 minutes at 50 yards. Timed Fire : 5 rounds fired in 20 seconds at 25 yards, twice, for 10 rounds total. Rapid Fire : 5 rounds fired in 10 seconds at 25 yards, twice, for 10 rounds total. Total of 30 rounds fired, unless a malfunction occurs in Timed or Rapid fire in which an alibi may be declared and refired according NRA rules. Total score will be divided by three for a maximum score of 100 points. Rounding off up or down will be applied. Dates available to shoot will be: Thursdays : Aug. 16, 23, 30 (5 to 8 pm). Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 (5 to 8 pm). Fridays : Aug.17, 24, 31 (10 am to 2 pm). Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28 (10 am to 2 pm). Note: ALL dates will have.22 Semiauto Pistols available plus 30 rounds for a $2.00 fee added to the normal Member and Work hour & LM fees. Rifle Top Shot 2018 Top Shot in 2018 will be offered to Club Members from August 11 th thru September 30 th. Rifle has scheduled the following days and times for competitors to shoot for score at the Rifle Range. Saturdays Aug. 11, 25, Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29. ( 5 to 7 pm ) Sundays Aug. 12, 26, Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30. (9 to 11 am ) Tuesdays Aug. 14, 21, 28, Sept. 4, 11. ( 6 to 8 pm ) Thursdays Aug. 16, 23, 30, Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27. ( 6 to 8 pm ) Fridays Aug. 17, 24, 31, Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28. ( 11 am to 1 pm ) The course of fire will simulate the Silhouette style of shooting from 50 yards, standing, with no support. Use any.22 rifle, any sights, any power scope. Shoot 20 rds., 5 shots at each animal, 5 pts. per hit for a grand total of 20 x 5 = 100 points. You will have to tell the RO if you are taking a minimum of 5 sighters at the red center before you start because, if you miss, you'll have to mark them with an X so it won't be scored as a miss later. Only on Aug. 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31 and Sept. 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 27, 29 and 30 will a.22 scoped rifle be available with 25 rounds for an additional $2.00 added to your normal Member fee of $8.00 or your $6.00 Work Hours & LM fee. At Registration, you will get a calendar showing all the necessary information you will need. You will experience the most fun & challenging Small-bore rifle disipline that we offer. When the competitor is ready to shoot for score he/she tells Leah they are shooting for score and Leah will issue a score sheet. If the competitor doesn t have a shotgun one will be provided by the sporting clays committee. Factory ammunition must be used in the furnished shotgun. The competitor must supply the ammunition. When the competitor is ready to shoot for score he/she tells Sherry they are shooting for score and Sherry will issue a score sheet. Trap range one will be used for Top Shot. If the competitor does not have a shot gun Sherry will provide a 12-gauge shot gun. Factory ammunition must be used in the club furnished shotgun. The competitor must supply the ammunition.
