APPROVAL OF MINUTES Move the approval and adoption of the Minutes of the March 11, 2015 Board of Education meeting. {Attachment M 1} VII. FINANCE A. Move the approval of the attached 2014 2015 Budget Appropriation Transfers for February 1, 2015 through February 28, 2015. {Attachment F 1} B. Ratification of the actions of the School Board Secretary who paid bills and met financial obligations for February 1, 2015 through February 28, 2015. Move to ratify the action of the School Board Secretary of the Morris-Union Jointure Commission who paid bills and met financial obligations with respect to the attached bill lists and General Account, effective February 1, 2015 through February 28, 2015 pursuant to the action of the Morris- Union Jointure Commission Board of Education March 11, 2015. {Attachment F 2} C. Move the approval and authorization of the School Board Secretary to pay bills and meet financial obligations for April 17, 2015 through May 7, 2015. 2

D. Move the acceptance of the report of the School Board Secretary and the report of the Treasurer of School Moneys through February 28, 2015. {Attachment F 3} E. Resolved: Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.12(c)4, we certify that as of February 28, 2015, after review of the secretary s monthly financial report (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, to the best of our knowledge no major account or fund has been overexpended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.2(c) and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. {Attachment F 4} F. Move to approve the route cost adjustments for the 2014 2015 transportation contracts. {Attachment F 5} G. Review of Cash Flow Analysis, July 1, 2014 through February 28, 2015. {Attachment FR 1} H. Review of Administrative Expenditure Reports through February 28, 2015. {Attachment FR 2} VIII. ADMINISTRATION AND ORGANIZATION A. Update on Our House Construction {To be distributed} B. Move to affirm the Superintendent s decision regarding HIB Incident No. 04-2015-W as discussed at the March 11, 2015 Board of Education meeting. C. Move to approve the usage of DLC Warren on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at no charge, by the K-9 Leaders Seeing Eye Puppy Club, Somerset County 3

4-H, as a training site. The K-9 Leaders Seeing Eye Puppy Club will be responsible for all necessary housekeeping. {Attachment AO 1} D. Move to approve the attendance at conferences requested by staff members as listed on the attached Request for Attendance at Conference Report. {Attachment AO 2} E. Move to approve the addition of the following vendor to the Morris-Union Jointure Commission s 2014 2015 New Jersey state contract vendor list. Move to approve the disposal of four non-serviceable buses/vans due to age, poor maintenance history, and excess mileage and to allow the Morris-Union Jointure Commission to offer for bid and sale, at the estimated fairmarket value, excess inventory, pursuant to 18A:18A-45, Article 12, Sale of Personal Property. {Attachment AO 5} 4

I. Move to approve a contract with South Jersey Energy to supply electric services through the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES) for a 24-month period beginning May 2015. J. Move to approve additional field trips for the Developmental Learning Center New Providence. {Attachment AO 6} IX. STAFF APPOINTMENTS 2014 2015 A. Move the appointment of the following staff member(s) for the 2014 2015 school year: 1. Marie Adeclas will serve as School Bus Driver with air brake endorsement, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $16.42 per hour, effective March 30, 2015 2. Chantel Akin will serve as Teacher Assistant, DLC Warren, 1.0 FTE, HS, Step 1, $7,175.76 (Base: $24,744.00), effective April 6, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 3. Dajuste Ceus will serve as School Bus Driver with air brake endorsement, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $16.42 per hour, effective March 23, 2015 4. Matthew Dalmedo will serve as Teacher Assistant, DLC Warren, 1.0 FTE, BA, Step 1, $9,779.32 (Base: $29,192.00), effective March 23, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 5. Jillian Dalrymple will serve as Teacher Assistant, DLC Warren, 1.0 FTE, BA, Step 1, $8,465.68 (Base: $29,192.00), effective April 6, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 6. Jacqueline De La Cruz will serve as School Bus Attendant, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $12.74 per hour, effective March 23, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 5

7. Caprise Keets will serve as School Bus Driver with air brake endorsement, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $16.42 per hour, effective March 25, 2015 8. Anita Patel will serve as School Bus Attendant, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $12.74 per hour, effective March 16, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 9. Kristin Shivers will serve as Teacher Assistant, DLC Warren, 1.0 FTE, BS, Step 1, $8,465.68 (Base: $29,192.00), effective April 6, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 10. Jamar Tiggett will serve as School Bus Attendant, Transportation, as needed, at a rate of $12.74 per hour, effective March 23, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). {Attachment HR 1} B. Move the approval of additional positions for the following staff member(s) for the 2014 2015 school year: 1. Karen Appezzato will serve as Certified Pool Operator, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $50.00 per hour, effective April 17, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 2. Karen Appezzato will serve as Assistant Pool Operator, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $41.20 per hour, effective April 17, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 3. Sara Girgus will serve as Certified Teacher Assistant Substitute, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $50.00 per day, effective March 23, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 4. Sara Girgus will serve as Certified Teacher Assistant Substitute - Hourly, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $6.67 per hour, effective March 23, 2015 6

5. Maria Shay will serve as Certified Teacher Assistant Substitute, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $50.00 per day, effective March 23, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (existing position). 6. Maria Shay will serve as Certified Teacher Assistant Substitute - Hourly, DLC Warren, as needed, at a rate of $6.67 per hour, effective March 23, 2015 C. Move the approval of the mentors and mentoring fee to be paid by the provisional teachers as identified for the 2014 2015 school year. {Attachment HR 2} X. PERSONNEL ACTION A. Move the approval of the following resolution: WHEREAS, the continuing expansion of the Developmental Learning Centers requires that the Morris-Union Jointure Commission hire certified and noncertified staff on an emergent basis, prior to the completion of the criminal history record check by the Commissioner of Education; and WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 18A:6-7.1 et seq. provides for the emergent hiring of employees for a period not to exceed three months, pending completion of a criminal history records check by the Commissioner of Education; and WHEREAS, all new employed certified and noncertified candidates for employment have provided attestation that they have not been convicted of any disqualifying crime pursuant to the provision of N.J.S.A. 18A:6-7.1 et seq., N.J.S.A. 18A:39-17 et seq., or N.J.S.A. 18A:6-4.13 et seq.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Morris-Union Jointure Commission Board of Education approves the within Authorization for Emergent Hiring Pending Completion of Criminal History Check and accompanying roster of candidates for employment. {Attachment HR 3} 7

Keith Barber, Teacher Physical Education, DLC Warren/Field, effective April 9, 2015 through April 23, 2015 (With health benefits from April 9, 2015 through April 23, 2015). 2. Theresa Bischak, Supervisor of Therapeutic Services, DLC New Providence/Warren, effective April 20, 2015 through April 24, 2015 (With health benefits from February 23, 2015 through April 24, 2015 because FMLA started on February 23, 2015). 3. Margaret Ferraioli, School Nurse, DLC New Providence, effective April 14, 2015 through April 17, 2015 (With health benefits from April 14, 2015 through April 17, 2015). 4. Donna Kohl, Teacher Assistant, DLC Warren, effective March 20, 2015 through June 30, 2015 (With health benefits from March 20, 2015 through June 30, 2015) Intermittent Leave 5.
