HONOR TROOP 2012-2013 Let everyone in Girl Scouts of Central California South know your troop is special! Your Troop will be recognized by each girl receiving a patch or year segment star, as well as Troop recognition on the Council website and in Hot Topics. To be an Honor Troop, you must complete a minimum number of requirements within one year s time, beginning October 1, 2012 and ending September 30, 2013. All Girl Scout Troops must complete 18 of the 26 requirements including all 7 asterisked (*) items. You must follow all deadlines and submit your completed application by October 15, 2013. Patches and/or segment stars will be sent to the Troop leader at NO CHARGE after the application has been processed. Please allow 6 weeks for processing. Each activity may only be counted one time towards one requirement. Service Unit #: Troop #: G.S. Level: # of girls: *1. Troop registrations are submitted to the Service Unit Registrar by June 30, 2013 or 30 days from the date a new leader is appointed. Troop is Re-Registering or New. Troop will participate in at least one service project (i.e. collecting canned food for the needy, graffiti painting, adopt a family, etc.). Service Project: *3. *5. Troop Leaders, Assistant Leaders, and Co-Leaders must complete an evaluation and turn it into the Service Unit Treasurer by June 30, 2013. *6. Troop consists of at least five girls from more than one family. How many girls? How many families? *7. Troop will participate in the 2012 Fall Product and 2013 Cookie Sale. Troop will give a presentation on Girl Scouts to a NON Girl Scout group, i.e.: P.T.A., Businesses, Service Clubs, etc. Name of Group: 9. Troop will participate in a community event (NON-Girl Scout event), (i.e. city/community parade, community event booth, flag ceremonies at a community event, etc.). 10. Troop will participate in a formal ceremony, (i.e. investiture, fly-up, bridging, rededication, etc.). Ceremony: 11. Troop will know and celebrate 3 of the 4 Girl Scout Holidays.
