INTRODUCTION OF GUEST Sue Mayfield, Lou Bianchi. MINUTES OF February 2, 2009 MEETING The minutes had been sent out electronically to all members. A motion was made by Chief Llaufer second by Chief Bradbury to accept the minutes as presented. Motion passed unanimously. TREASURER S REPORT Chief Jim Moore presented the Treasurer s report. End of the month balance was $6,668.79. Total disbursements were $0 and total deposits were $120. The 50/50 balance was $858.00. A motion was made by Chief Rice and second by Chief Macko to accept the report as presented. Motion passed unanimously. SPEICAL PRESENTATION: A special presentation was made to Sue Mayfield from McHenry County College for her many years of service to our area through the Firefighter programs at MCC. Sue is retiring and a plaque was presented to Sue by MC Chief s President A/C J. Kreher. PRESENTATION Lou Bianchi, MC States Attorney answered questions from the floor on issues of concern to the MC Chiefs. MCC Doug Goostree. Light Em and Fight Em is scheduled for 3 rd week of June, get the word out if you have any FFs who want to get some more experience. See attached report other detail. MABAS Chief Macko. Chiefs Macko, Saletta and Amore attend the recent MABAS conference. It was reported to be a great meeting. Chief Macko reported that Chief Lipinsky was elected VP and Chief Maplethorpe was elected Comptroller. IFCA Chief Webster: See attached report. IAFC Chief Macko: Nothing to report. Legislative Chief Saletta: The season is hot and heavy for pending legislation. Noted opposition was to the Foreign Fire Tax Bill, which has AFFI sponsorship, HB46 First Repsonder Communications, HB592 Residential Building code, SB328 which mirrors HB592, SB1980 which would actually prohibit someone from owning a home sprinkler system. Don t forget the Legislative Forum on 3/14/09 beginning at 9am at Woodstock Judd St. Station.
CORONER, Marlene Lantz Nothing to report SHERIFF, Capt. Dave Shepard Not Present EMS Cindy Amore. Not Present FFL Tammy Chatman. Maps delivered to members. Pictures of new aircraft emailed to everyone. Tammy showed FFL s safety coin which are on sale to all. This is a fundraiser for FFL to help them purchase night vision goggles, hopefully by the end of the year. Changes are forthcoming from NTSB which will require pilots to identify highest objects in their flight pattern before they lift off. 911 Chief Saletta. Visionair upgrade is commencing with a go live date of 10/1/09 for the MDBs and CAD mapping. Training info will be forthcoming. EMA Barry Valentine. Not present. PIO / Fire Prevention Chief Bradbury. It is a Monday and Wednesday class.
