Reservations must be canceled up to 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid 1 night room and tax charge. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Group rates are effective three (3) days before and three (3) days after contracted dates, subject to availability. Complimentary signature amenities include a hot breakfast buffet, and waived $7.00 parking fee (free valet parking offered during certain hours). Each room offers hair dryer, iron/ironing board, remote controlled TV with HBO, microwave oven, refrigerator, voice messaging, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and coffee makers. The Norfolk Plaza hotel offers the largest hotel pool in town, on site Masseuse (by appointment) and allows pets (Pet Policy - $50 non-refundable fee per pet - maximum 2 pets per room - pet weight or combined total weight, if more than one pet, not to exceed 80 lbs.) Onsite services include a 24-hour business center, laundry, valet (certain hours), and room service (certain hours). Enterprise Car Rental across street from hotel, and Greyhound Bus Station less than a block from hotel. There will be a table set up in the lobby with What to Do in Norfolk information. Black Tuna Grill offers breakfast and dinner cuisine in the onsite restaurant, but will be open 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Thursday and Friday with a limited lunch menu just for us. Nearest Airport is Norfolk International Airport (ORF). There is no hotel airport shuttle service, so you will have to take a cab. Cost is around $25 one way, but that is per cab, so you may want to share with someone. PRE-CONVENTION TRIP: Wednesday - 21 August 2013 11 a.m. 6 p.m. Visit the Army Women s Museum (formerly WAC Museum) at Fort Lee, VA as a VIP! Enjoy a scenic/relaxing bus ride to the Museum where you will enjoy a private reception and tour of the exhibits tracing the WAAC/WAC and Army women s history. Some of you may have trained at Fort Lee and it will be a homecoming for you. (Travel time approx 2 hours each way). The museum is the ONLY museum in the world dedicated solely to Army women.
