3. PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS Ms. Medrano expressed concern regarding the following: 1) removal of the bench at the Meridian Avenue and Willow Street bus stop; and 2) Bus line 323 service. Member Acker expressed concern on the bus annunciators. Member Bonilla noted the De Anza College students suggestion for VTA to focus on improving bus service. 4. 9. Real Time Transit Information Project Mr. Miskell provided an overview of the staff report. received the report on the Real Time Transit Information Project. 10. One Bay Area Grant (OBAG) projects Ms. Rensi provided an overview of the staff report. Chairperson Morrow expressed concern that there is limited input from the senior and disabled community regarding the OBAG Program at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) level. Ex-Officio Member Heatley acknowledged that the OBAG Program is complicated and commented that process should be refined at the next cycle to make it easier to apply for funding for senior and disabled projects. reviewed the One Bay Area Grant (OBAG) projects. 11. Transportation Impact Analysis (TIA) Guidelines Update Robert Swierk, Senior Transportation Planner, provided an overview of the staff report. The Committee expressed that the importance of considering the impacts to senior, disabled, and pedestrians during major construction/development projects. received the Transportation Impact Analysis (TIA) Guidelines Update. 12. OUTREACH s Senior Mobility Management Model Presentation Mr. Tatsuta provided a PowerPoint presentation entitled, Senior Transportation Mobility Management Model. He reviewed the following: 1) services for seniors; 2) STAR Program; 3) Senior transportation survey results; 4) OUTREACH & National Center for Senior Transportation Service Model; 5) mobility solutions; and 6) mobility guide. received OUTREACH s Senior Mobility Management Model Presentation. 13. Senior Mobility Guide information Ms. Helm provided an overview of the staff report. Chairperson Morrow encouraged Committee Members to review the guide and provide feedback to staff. Work Plan Update REPORTS reviewed the Committee Work Plan. 16. City of San José Disability Advisory Commission (DAC) Report Chairperson Morrow reported that the DAC has been consolidated with the Mayor s Domestic Violence Taskforce, Human Rights Commission, and will now be made up with the Human Services Commission. He expressed concern regarding the lack of representation for people with disabilities. He requested removal of the DAC report from the Agenda until further notice. received the DAC report. 17. Committee Staff Report Jim Unites, Operations Deputy Director and Committee Staff Liaison, encouraged Committee Members to complete the Title VI survey. received the Committee Staff Report. 18. Citizens Advisory Committee(CAC)/Citizens Watchdog Committee (CWC) Report There was no CAC/CWC Report. 19. Chairperson's Report Chairperson Morrow noted the following 1) reminded the Committee Members regarding the Bus Demonstration after the CTA meeting; 2) there is a serious transportation issue in the South County and noted there should be partnership between the community and VTA staff on how to creatively provide transportation to people in the area; and 3) he will not be in attendance at the next Chairperson s meeting with Board Chair Pirzynski.
