Congratulations to GRW Member and Past President, Yolanda Waters on her recent election to Galveston County Republican Party Precinct Chair. Please read her message below. Fellow Republicans I am humbled and honored to announce that on August 1, 2018, I was unanimously elected as Chair of the Galveston County Republican Party. I want to thank the precinct chairs (County Executive Committee) and our State Republican Executive Committeeman J. T. Edwards and Committeewoman Tanya Robertson for their support. I embrace the newly adopted bylaws and the formation of a Steering Committee (now known as the Officials Committee). I view the changes in the bylaws as an opportunity for our county party to function more like a corporation with a CEO and Board of Directors. I believe this will instill teamwork and the precinct chairs have already committed to working together, as we move our party forward! Folks, we have less than 90 days to Get out the Vote for Congressman Randy Weber, Representative Dr. Gregg Bonnen, Representative-Elect Mayes Middleton, and Judge Kerri Foley. These candidates have Democrat opponents and we will need everyone s help to make sure they are elected! The Grand Opening of our Republican Headquarters in Galveston is Thursday, September 6 th, 7:00 p.m. at the Hatmaker Center. We are looking at another possible center in League City. Further announcements will be made in the next few weeks. KEEP GALVESTON RED! Yolanda Waters Chair, Galveston County Republican Party
