Motion to approve proclamations honoring the 2017 Mercer Memorial Day Honorees: Daniel E. Evans, Carl Heckman, Joseph L. Hood: Posthumous honorees John R. Ellis, Jack D. Hedglin, Miles Bradley Hedglin. Motion to accept the awarded amount of $19,997.00 of the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) under $10K funds for the CJAB Under $10K Equipment Project. These funds are being made available to law enforcement agencies who did not qualify for a direct federal JAG award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Project start date for these funds is April 1, 2017 and the end date is March 31, 2018. The Mercer County Juvenile Probation Office in partnership with the MC CJAB will work directly with the designated county police departments on this portion of the grant. There is no County match required. Motion to approve the MH/DS Advisory Board recommendation for the appointment of Greg Linder of 19 Hermitage Hills Blvd., Hermitage, PA 16148 to the MH/DS Advisory Board for a term of three years, beginning May 31, 2017 through May 31, 2020.

Motion to enter into a Block-Time Agreement with Dagostino Electronic Services, Inc., 600 Mifflin Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15207. DES will provide 60-hours of service to the audio-visual system in the Emergency Services Building, as needed. The total cost of this agreement is $ 5,400. Motion to approve the following financial investments as listed: INVESTMENTS DATED 5-09-17 TAX LIEN PNC SWP TAX LIEN FNB/PA IMM 192,679.00 INVESTMENTS DATED 05/10/2017 FROM TO AMOUNT PRIVATE SALE PNC MMKT 2001 CAPITAL BOND SINKING PNC CK PRIVATE SALE NORTHWEST MUN 2001 CAPITAL BOND SINKING FNB/PA IMM $ 3,800.00 $ 218,280.00 Motion to enter into an Agreement with Penn State University to contract research and evaluation services for the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) funded Mercer County Strategic Planning Project as described in PCCD grant number 2014/2015-JG-16/LS-27160. The project period commenced on January 1, 2017 and will continue through December 31, 2017. The total cost of these contracted services shall not exceed $41,106. There is no County match required. Motion to apply for the 2016-2017 PCoRP Loss Prevention Grant in the amount of $15,000.00. The proceeds from the grant will offset the cost of wireless internet installation at the Mercer County Jail for use with the Guardian RFID inmate tracking system, demolition of the smokestack at the Mercer County Conservation property, and moving of the electric lines connected to the building next to the smokestack. The cost of all three projects is $16,026.40. The Munnell Run Farm Foundation Inc. will pay the remaining balance of $1,026.40 as part of the cost of moving the electric lines.
