ROTARY BOWELSCAN SAVES LIVES. Good evening all, Below are photos that have been taken by our Media Liaison Officer to be published on the Internet. I will explain each photo. Myself (in front) with one of our Medical Scientist testing kits we do separately (at a cost) for the Metro Melbourne Clubs. A sight of concentration - testing the kits A bird s eye view of testing
The lights on the tables are for better viewing (the hall lights are too high and were casting shadows over the kits). Our other Medical Scientist (centre) checking a positive result. The TV advertising has proved to be very successful. This time of the year it is full one, on Monday and Wednesday nights we spend hours taking the kits out of their envelopes, this allows us a head start for testing on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We tested 4037 kits on Tuesday morning, that is a record for a session. On The Tuesday & Thursday morning our Testing Manager and myself arrive at 7.15 am to set up the hall, we then start opening the back of the kits ready for the testers who arrive around 8am.The testing Manager and yours truly finish at about 11.45 am. Because this is the final year of using this kit I have extended the program for an extra week in Geelong (with the approval of the pharmacies). If you want to extend your program please consult your pharmacy for approval, this is not a direction, it is entirely up to you. Keep sending in your kits for testing. I hope you enjoy the photos.
