For many, like Mary Balogh, Amanda Quick, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips, they started out as paperback authors and 'graduated' to selling in hard cover. We have also added series information to the spine label. Let's look at May 7: First, we had a Friends meeting followed by a program they organized on Places to Vistit in Pennsylvania. Next, we hosted our first English as a Second Language conversation group with four young ladies attending and help from volunteer Peggy. Following that, we set up for the Teen Test Time Study Hall. Oh and from 4-7, Miss Glynnis was at Pine Road for the school's Scholastic Book Fair, spreading the word about Summer Reading! Then at 7 pm you had your choice of programs: "The Versitility of Your Heirlooms & Treasures" with Harry Merrill & Son, Jewelers courtesy of the Friends or the Pennypack Trail Progress talk, featuring Jody Holton (Montgomery County) and Larry Eastwood (National Railroad Historical Society). This was the second program organized in cooperation with the Lower Moreland Township's Loreen Montagnon. In addition, our new temporary part-time Library Assistant, Lauren, started. Icing on the cake - I learned from the Township that the window sills will be fixed and the stairwell painted before we take over management of the Community Room. Goodbye duct-tape on the stairs! Philadelphia Mural Arts Trolley Tour Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The docent-led, tour will include opportunities not only to learn about the history of the program, the purpose, design, artists, neighborhood and community members involved in each mural, but also to pause, get off the bus and examine selected works up close. Cost: $35.00 per person. Seating: Limited to 38 seats. Where: Departure from the Mural Arts Station in front of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. Deadline: May 12, 2015.
