Wayne and Donna hosted an excellent finale for a great cruising season! Even though this was personally our first HRB cruise at Blake island, it had such a comfortable, homey feel to it. It was complete with horseshoes, pumpkins, chili, candy, costume and great people. Thank you everyone in attendance! This weekend brings us our annual Change of Watch ceremony and a chance to thank the old board members, welcome the new and have a few laughs as we present the 2013 awards. Let me take a minute to thank Peggy C for role as membership chair, Bill B for his role as Trustee, Alice for her role with publicity, Carolyn for her role as sunshine, Carla for her 2nd term as Past Commodore and Dave for his great leadership. These folks provided their time to enhance the Vikings club and we truly learned from them all. Events still ahead include the Christmas Lighting Parade and the annual Christmas Party. Robert has been working hard to coordinate the event and information will be coming out soon. This is a great event to enjoy with family, friends and fellow members and should be a fun occasion. Hope to see you soon and safely motor on! Carolyn Anspach Yeoman anspach@comcast.net Tracy Anspach Vice Commodore anspach@comcast.net From The Rear Commodore Fellow Vikings, Now that we are fresh off the Hot Rudder Bum cruise as I write this, the cruise was great. Blake Island is a wonderful location for boating and we had a great time. Wayne, Donna and family did an excellent job hosting the cruise. With only two more functions to round out the year, I am looking forward to passing the Rear Commodore torch to Steve Larsen, our new Rear Commodore for 2014. Our Change of Watch is coming up this Saturday, November 2nd. Please come out and join us as we bring in the 2014 bridge and board members. The Christmas Party and Auction has now been planned and all that is left is the WORK. Flyer is attached to this Lur. At this function, I will be passing out suggestion and comment cards about cruises, functions so we can get your feedback on what cruises and functions you like and do not like! This will help us to make 2014 a great year for our membership. Your board is listening~ Rear Robert Bushnell searusattitude@gmail.com ude@gmail.com MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
