PCEA Spring Golf Tournament May 8, 2015 The 27th Annual Don Mizelle PCEA Spring Golf Tournament will be held at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Garner, NC with Shotgun Start at 11:00 AM.
2015 PCEA National Convention PCEA National Convention Highlights The 2015 National Convention in St. Simons Island, GA was hosted this year by the Catawba Valley Chapter. The surprising news was that the Triangle Chapter was the recipient for the 5th time of The Bills Helms Chapter of The Year Award. There were informative construction seminars presented; Integrated Project Delivery Process by Ford Hazelip of the Orlando Chapter and the Effects of The Clean Water Act of 2015 On Construction Randall Williams from the Catawba Valley Chapter was the recipient of the 2015 Rudy Barnes PCEA National Estimator of The Year award. Melissa Swanson also from the Catawba valley Chapter was the recipient of the 2015 Chapter newsletter of The Year Award.
Construction News Triangle Construction and Development Reviving Curt Willis Deputy Inspections Director for The City of Raleigh and his staff of 35 are responsible for ensuring that every building and construction project in the city are up to code. In 2005, the department conducted more than 125,000 inspections. In the downturn of 2008 the department conducted 61,000 inspections. It now seems that in the Triangle, construction and development are coming back. Mr. Willis estimates that by July 1, he and his inspectors will have performed about 115,000 inspections. 2015 PCEA Membership Drive PCEA Triangle Chapter The PCEA Triangle Chapter is sponsoring a Membership Drive For our Chapter of the PCEA to grow and flourish we need to continue to bring in new members. The very best way to grow our membership is through the word of mouth of the active members. In order to encourage the active membership to bring in new members into our elite group of Business Owners, Managers, Estimators and Sales Representatives working within / or supporting the Construction Industry we are going to have a membership competition. Our overall goal for the current year is to add 20 new members to the Triangle Chapter. This would increase our active membership by approximately 50%!!! If we add a minimum of 10 new members to the total membership by May 31st of this year, then the member who is credited with the most new members enrolled and dues* received, will receive $500.00! If we do not reach the minimum goal, but have increased our membership by at least 5 new members, then the member who brought in the most new members, will receive $200.00. It takes the efforts of EVERY member to continue to grow our organization and rebuild our ranks to our previous levels. Spread the word, talk to your co-workers, talk to your supervisors, and put some cash in your pocket! Become a Member * Please note the yearly dues are based on the Fiscal Year that starts on June 1st.
