Afghan refugee response Travelling out to villages is no easy ride. The craggy outcrops provide shelter for roving militia awaiting an easy target. Children play in the poppy fields. The abolition of the opium trade is a challenge to the new authorities.
Afghan refugee response In remote areas of Afghanistan an emergency trip to a health centre could take over seven hours. RedR engineers built bridges and improved roads to allow villagers quicker access to health services for the first time in their lives.
RedR in Iraq RedR deployed 8 people into Iraq. Three logisticians worked with WFP to help deliver food to 23 million people. In the month of June 2003, 750,000 tonnes of food was delivered the largest food delivery in history
