Let s celebrate by honoring our oldest active member and the longest active member of the center. A chicken dinner and entertainment will be provided by the Bavarian Inn from Frankenmuth. Tickets are $25.00 and will be on sale at the center through December 18, 2013.

From the Director I want to thank everyone who helped us out during the government shutdown. There was only one week that we were without nutrition program meals. When I sent out an email to the neighborhood around us I was shocked at the response. We received so much food that we ran out of storage space. The food came in so fast that we were not able to record who brought things in. Then Amanda Edmonds of Growing Hope contacted area restaurants to donate lunches. We received meals from Sidetrack, Aubrees, Bezzys, and Harvest Kitchen. Dick Mattie brought in fried chicken for one lunch, and Steve from the Farmer s Market sent some great apples to keep us healthy. There were also so many nutritious canned goods. We are making up gift packages for our seniors to have some food at home; especially, for the times we are not open (holiday season). We will also keep some in the cupboards just in case this happens again in January. I am truly amazed by the generous support from the community. 2004 Membership Form The 2014 membership form is attached. Please fill it out and send it to the center as soon as you can. We would like to start working on the membership directory in December so we can hand it out at our anniversary party. Be sure to check yes if you would like to be included in the directory. These will be given out to members that sign up for it.
